that a wolf mate would never harm his mate in any way.
“I just don’t see this working out, Devin. I just can’t see how.”
“We’ll figure it out sweetheart. Me, you, and Micha. We’ll work it out,” I told her confidently. There was no other way. We’d have to work it out.
“Is it true that wolves are allergic to silver?” She asked changing the subject.
“For the most part. The older we get the more resilient we become to it. That bracelet you wore covering my mark, it’s silver isn’t it?” I tried hard to keep the edge out of my voice. Those damn guardians of hers.
“Yes. Would my bracelet hurt you?” I could hear her fidgeting with something.
“It would sting a little. Don’t cover my mark Bliss.” I growled. I wanted her to be proud to wear my mark.
“I’m not. I can’t. Since last night, your mark burns.”
“The mark will make itself known until you are claimed sweetheart. It shouldn’t be too uncomfortable, just don’t cover it up. Promise me.”
“Devin…” She began and I couldn’t hold back the unhappy growl.
“Don’t growl at me Devin Richardson!” she reprimanded. Again, I couldn’t help but smile. She may be a little timid about having a wolf mate but that didn’t keep her from standing up to me.
“Please baby. Don’t hide my mark. Promise me.” I pleaded again. I don’t know why it bothered me so much. I wanted everyone to see that mark and know she belonged to me. I couldn’t wait to be able to put my scent on her so there would be no question as to who she belonged too.
“I promise. I have to go now Devin.”
“Thank you sweetheart. I’ll see you later.” I didn’t mention that it would be that very night at the home of her guardians.
“Bye.” She didn’t wait for me to respond but just hung up. I smiled again. I disconnected the call and put my phone back in my pocket. I needed to finish some paperwork here at the club then head back to the Ranch to take care of a few pack issues. Then, in a few short hours, I’d get to see my mate again. Bliss, ah yes, my Bliss.

CHAPTER THIRTEEN

    Bliss

I put the phone down on the table next to the couch and stared at it for a minute. Devin Richardson, a wolf, was my mate. A wolf. I shook my head. I just couldn’t do it. There was no way I could let a wolf touch me to claim me. I looked down at my wrist at the marks there. One gave me to a Dominant Vampire who initially hadn’t wanted a mate, the other gave me to a wolf who was more than happy to have finally found his mate.
How was this going to work? I just couldn’t see it happening. Was Micha willing to share his mate? Did he even care one way or another about the whole situation? He’d been really upset last night but I think it was more over the fact that my guardians had lied and hid the truth about a second mate from him.
I rubbed my temples absently. My head felt like it was going to explode and there was a dull ache in my stomach. I needed blood, so I had to go to Micha. He’d risen early and was in his office taking care of vampire business. I pulled the sleeves of my shirt down to cover my wrists and got up from the couch. The minute I was standing I swayed on my feet. I needed to get to Micha before I passed out.
I walked to his office door and was surprised to see it ajar. I knocked on it anyway, to get his attention. Those cool blue eyes warned me he was still upset. The zap of our connection sent me swaying again. Micha was in front of me in an instant.
“Bliss,” he said simply, taking hold of my biceps to hold me up.
“I’m sorry to bother you Micha, but I need blood.” I swallowed, trying to wet my dry throat.
“Come,” he instructed taking my hand and leading me to the large leather couch. He sat down, leaving me to stand between his thighs. “Kneel.”
I hesitated for only a moment before dropping to my knees before him. I waited for him to bite into his wrist and offer it to me but instead he started
