can imagine.”
“What the fuck?” I ask, not willing to move an inch. “What’s wrong?”
Her hands wrap around my biceps, pulling me back to her. “Nothing is wrong. Everything is fucking perfect.”
I can hear the pain in her voice, but I can also hear the edge to it. Whatever is going on with her, she doesn’t want to talk about it. “I just want you to feel good.”
“I’ve never felt better,” she says, placing a kiss on my chin as her hand snakes between our bodies.
Just as her tiny fist circles my cock, someone starts to bang on the door. A second later, Smoke’s voice seeps into the room.
“Brew, get your ass downstairs. Boz needs you.”
Anger fills me as I shout, “Give me a fucking minute.”
I wait for his footsteps to fade away before placing my lips back on Addy’s and whisper, “Sorry, Red.”
She smiles, but it doesn’t quite reach her chocolate colored eyes. She runs a hand over my hair and replies, “Go take care of business.”

CHAPTER TEN
    Addy
THE SOUND of running boots hitting the floor grabs my attention. I lay the book Brew brought me down and climb from the bed, then make my way toward the sound. Opening the door just an inch, I watch as brothers run in both directions. Boz storms by with a bleeding Grim in his arms and Trix following close behind him. My best friend’s face is trained on Boz’s back, not giving me a clear view. Still, I can see blood splattered all over her clothes.
“What the hell happened?” I shout to them, jerking the door open and stepping out into the crowded hallway.
Brew rushes toward me, a devastated look on his face, pushing me backwards. “Get your ass back in the room and lock the door.”
“What’s wrong? What happened to Grim? He was bleeding,” I say, telling him something he obviously already knows.
Brew blinks before taking in a deep breath. “Yeah, he’s hurt, but I don’t know how badly yet. I’ll come back and let you know as soon as I find out.”
I grab his hand, not wanting him to leave me alone. “Let me go with you, please. I promise not to get in the way.”
“Red, there’s a lot of shit going down right now,” he says, clearly wanting me to keep my ass put, behind a locked door.
I’m not sure what’s going on, but I know it’s bad. Judging by the look on Boz’s face when he walked by, and the look on Brew’s now, it’s really fucking bad. The last thing I want to do is be stuck in a room, just waiting for that bad to find me.
Giving his hand a gentle squeeze, I reach up and run my hand over his golden brown locks. “I’m scared shitless right now, Brew. I know if I’m with you, nothing can happen to me. Please, let me stay with you.”
He takes in another deep breath and says, “Stay right on my ass, Addy. Don’t move one fucking inch from me. Do you understand?”
Nodding my head, I agree. “I promise.”
He leads me down the hall, past the common room, and into the kitchen. As we get closer, I can hear Boz and Trix talking, but can’t quite make out what they are saying. I can hear the pain and fear in her voice, causing my feet to move faster. Sending a quick prayer for my friend, I look around Brew as we step inside the kitchen.
Boz’s shout fills the air, sending a wave of urgency along with it. “Call Doc! Get his ass over here right now.”
“Already done, brother. I figured you’d want him to look at Trix, so I made the call as soon as I walked in,” Brew replies, holding the kitchen door open.
At that moment, I see Grim’s bloody body lying on the kitchen table. His blood is dripping to the floor as he pulls in labored breaths. Tears fill my eyes as I look over to Trix. She has blood seeping from her lips and a huge handprint on her face.
A gasp slips from my lips as I whisper, “Oh my God.”
“Call him back and tell him to get here right fucking now,” Boz orders, as Trix and I stare at each other.
She mouths the words, I’m okay , just before Brew’s arms lock
