onto the skillet. Over easy it is.
Breakfast is eaten in silence, our eyes meeting each other's several times. Stretching my arm across the island separating us, I take her hand in mine, rubbing my thumb against her palm in a soothing gesture. “Are we okay?” I ask, because right now I'm really not too sure.
“Of course, I just have a lot on my mind. Can you give me a ride home so I can get ready for work?” She smiles at me, showing me her perfect teeth. “I would rather stay here with you all day but I honestly don't think my boss would like that very much.”
“Call out sick,” I tell her, not at all ashamed.
Shaking her head, she laughs, “I can't do that. I haven't been there very long. It won't look so good on my record.” Her voice gains a few octaves at the end and her eyebrows lift as she takes in my shit eating grin.
“I’m just kidding tiger. Damn you're cute when you're feisty.” I laugh again and get up to clear our dishes away. I can feel her stare as I bend to put the plates in my dishwasher and when I turn towards her I find her chin perched on her fist while she watches me.
“Ready?” I ask as I pass her and stop in the living room, waiting for her to catch up.
“Let's go. I don't want to be late for work,” She says in answer and opens the door that leads down into my garage.
“You have a bike?” she squeals and rushes towards my beast tucked away in the corner. “I didn't notice this last night.”
“I think we were a little too preoccupied last night to notice anything in the garage, don't you?” I come to a stop next to her and she looks at me with a shimmer in her eyes that tells me she wants to ride. I grab the extra helmet that's not hanging on the handlebars off of the shelf just above our heads and hand it to her. “Put this on,” I tell her before snatching mine from the bike and putting it on.
She looks so damn cute as her eyes go wide with excitement. After pulling the tie from her hair so it can cascade down her back in golden waves, she gently places it over her head.
Climbing on the bike, I pat the seat behind me in invitation and she joins me, wrapping her arms around my waist. Turning the key and pushing the button to start my machine it rumbles to life beneath us and she squeezes me tighter, effectively pressing her chest tightly against my back. I think this is going to be the best ride I've ever taken.
I'm surprised when she automatically leans into the turns with me as we whip down the small streets towards her house. I don't think this is her first time and an ounce of jealousy finds its way through my veins as I imagine who she's rode with before.
Her hands start to slowly caress me as we ride and it's doing things to me in my southern regions that I really don't need going on right now while I'm concentrating on handling the bike. I'm not complaining. I'm enjoying it. Too bad I have to bring her home. I can think of a little private spot that I could take her to have some more alone time before I have to drop her off but we just don't have enough time. It's a shame really. I don't think I'm ever going to get enough of her body entwined with mine.
All too soon we pull into her driveway and she unwraps herself from my body, climbs from the back and stands on shaky legs. I reach out a hand to steady her and she accepts it, leaning into my touch.
I pull the helmet off and place it in my lap. “Do you have to go to work?” I ask, already knowing the answer but figuring I should ask anyway.
“Unfortunately.” She looks at me sheepishly, almost shy.
“What are you doing after work?” I ask her, wanting any and all time she's willing to give me.
“I promised my friend Ashley that I would help her with studying tonight. Sorry,” she answers, looking apologetic. Her hair's windblown from our short ride and again I wish she would just say fuck work and spend the day with me but that's not very professional and I couldn't very well do what I'm
