family thing first.  He'll buy it when his kids are a little older. I'm good with that.  So, I start tomorrow.  By Saturday I'll have the new wall up and we can map out Jessie's platform.  What's his favorite color?"
He's fuckin serious.  "Brother, how the fuck do I not know you still own the construction company?  We have a fuck ton of work you could pick up."
"Don't need the extra work.  I'm cherry picking the jobs I want now.  It works, it's so much easier to do complete builds than repairs and add ons.  I get to pick the best jobs using preferred material for customers I don't mind working with."  He shrugs.  Not a big fuckin deal.
"You're still a Premier Builder?"  Fuckin guy is too fuckin much.
"Yeah but I only do five to seven houses a year.  I do two or three historic restorations, that's it.  I run a ton of plans but people are fuckin crazy.  I won't touch their fuckin jobs.  Chris and the crew make money and are happy, it works out for everyone."
I look at him dumbfounded.  "How the fuck do you make the time to build fuckin houses?"
He laughs.  "I don't, Chris does.  He wants to buy the company but his wife wanted kids first.  Every job, we take a percentage before the wife sees it and put it toward the note, like an option.  I see the houses two or three times on a walk through because I'm the architect.  Chris does the rest unless there's a problem.  He's fuckin good at his job so that's not often.  I couldn't build now anyway.  I still can't use a saw."
"Sorry Brother but thank fuck.  I'm not sure how much more fuckin Danny I can take."
He laughs.  "You know Ben; I probably work less than every Brother in the club.  It just looks like I do a lot.  Some days I'm done by two or three.  I get my workouts done in the morning so I'm free the afternoons and nights to spend with the kids and Kate.  When she brings work home I run plans.  It always works out."
"Fuck if I don't want your job.  I spend my days in fuckin buildings."  I shake my head and eat my pie.
"I know, I couldn't do your job.  Every fuckin Brother bringing everything from tagging to marital problems to you.  Fuck, I don't know how the fuck you do it without going crazy.  You're like Jess, you get a piece of something and you have the whole fuckin answer with a plan to go with it.  Too fuckin much for me, I'll stick with my backward brain and one eye riding my bike from place to place."  He smiles.
"You can't throw the dyslexia and one eye out like that Brother.  You're too fuckin smart to play them and I know it.  Learned you play chess at tournament level.  I'm not wearing the blinders anymore.  I still want you're fuckin job.  Shouldn't have taken psych, politics and business.  Should have been a fuckin architect.  At the very least I'd be able to ride my fuckin bike."  I can't help but smile.
He laughs.  "We should work your schedule so we can take a couple of hours once a week to ride, maybe bring VP.  He needs to get out more too.  Fuckin Brothers keep forgetting being happy is in the ride not just making it good for everyone else."
I'm surprised as fuck again.  I pick up my phone and call Steve.  "You at the Club?  Come to my office."  I finish my meal and drop the tray and napkin in the bag.  Fuckin Danny is smiling eating his fuckin fries.  Steve walks in and sits.  "We need to find someone to drop some paperwork on and plan a couple of hours a week to ride.  Making it good for everyone else shouldn't come by us sacrificing our happiness."
Steve looks at Danny.  "How'd you say it to him?"
"Told him 'Brothers keep forgetting being happy is in the ride not just making it good for everyone else."
Steve looks at me.  "Like the way he said it.  I'm in."  He gets up and walks out.
"What the fuck was that?"  I can't believe he just fuckin walked out.
Danny cracks up.  "He said yes.  What more do you need?"  He cleans up his tray and stands,
