Hot In Here (Ashton Heights Fire # 3)
rubbed his hand up and down her arm, looking worried once
more. “Warm shower, I think. What’d ya reckon, Chats?”
    “ Can’t hurt. Let’s get her
in the bathroom.”
    Ally could have protested
that she really wasn’t in shock—at least not the medically diagnosable kind—and that
she didn’t need to stand under hot running water. But then she
pictured standing under hot running water with Leo and Blair
soaping her up and thought perhaps Leo was right.
    It couldn’t hurt.
Blair woke to soft sounds of movement in the
bedroom. He opened his eyes and saw Ally quietly dressing herself
in the gray dawn light. She might have been headed to the kitchen
and didn’t want to go there naked, but he knew that wasn’t the
case. She hadn’t been the least shy about her body last night, or
about stealing Leo’s shirt if the night chill forced her to cover
up.
    She was skedaddling.
    Something cold shifted
inside Blair’s chest that had nothing to with the low morning
temperature. He opened his mouth to say something—what, he didn’t
know—but closed it again before the mystery words could form.
Saying something might stop Ally from leaving, and having a girl
sneak out without saying goodbye was the ultimate relief. It saved
him from having an awkward morning-after conversation.
Almost every time it was he who had that
conversation, because Leo was too damn nice and tended to give
mixed messages. Blair had become adept at shuffling sex-addled
women out the door, but it was never something he enjoyed. The fact
that Ally was saving him from the chore this time around should
have been a welcome reprieve.
    Instead, for some reason he
felt…disappointed.
He watched in silence, not moving a muscle,
as Ally got down on her hands and knees, clearly searching for
something. Beside him, Leo slept on, snoring softly. He was a heavy
sleeper, but he wouldn’t remain oblivious for long if Ally didn’t
stop swearing under her breath and crawling around the bed. From
the way Leo had been looking at Ally last night, Blair figured if
his friend woke he’d pressure her for her last name and/or another
night. That was the last thing Blair wanted.
Ignoring the vague sense of untruth inherent
in that last thought, Blair slipped from beneath the sheets and got
down on his own hands and knees, meeting Ally on all fours as she
rounded the end of the bed. She gave a little yelp as she almost
collided with him. They both glanced at Leo. The noise hadn’t woken
him.
Blair turned back to Ally and whispered.
“What are you looking for?”
“ The match for this,” she
whispered back, holding up one high-heeled wedge shoe.
    Seeing the shoe made Blair
remember fucking Ally while she was wearing them last night. She’d
looked so damned sexy bent over the dining table, her ass in the
air and her pussy all pink and moist. She’d been so tight and hot
around him, a glorious, slick fist that had eked every last ounce
of pleasure from his cock.
    Then later, they’d both
fucked her in the shower…and on the bed… Blair had been as
insatiable as Leo. Almost as if he didn’t want to let Ally go
either.
He shook the thought from his head. He
always let them go. Always.
    He indicated he’d help her
find the shoe, and together they searched stealthily through the
most likely places. Blair tried to ignore the way watching Ally get
around on all fours hardened his cock.
    Eventually, he found the
missing shoe stuck behind a football in the corner of the room. Leo
kept his room way too shabby for Blair’s liking. He handed the item
in question to Ally, who mouthed a grateful, “Thank you.” Blair found his jeans
while he was at it and dragged them on, indicating they should go
out into the hall.
Blair softly closed the bedroom door behind
him. Ally was already walking out the front door. Jeez, she really
was keen to bolt. “Was it something we said?” he murmured in a low
voice as he caught up with her.
Ally swung around, her shoes clutched
