    Proposition
     
    “I want you to sleep with my boyfriend.”
    Janet stared at Megan in disbelief, her mouth open. “Excuse
me?” She looked around the coffee bar, but no one else seemed to have heard. The
radio played something from the nineties, but suddenly she couldn’t hear it.
    “He wants to have sex,” Megan replied, “And I’ve never done
it. I’m scared. I thought if maybe you had sex with him instead, I could keep
him happy.”
    “There’s nothing to be scared of,” said Janet, “You don’t even
have to do anything, just lie there and let him do you.”
    “It’s not like that,” Megan ran a hand distractedly through
her long brown hair, “I want to be good at it. You’ve been with your boyfriend
Trevor for six months, and sleeping with him longer than that. You know what
you’re doing, right?”
    Janet shrugged and took a drink of her mocha while she
considered her friend’s request. “Sure,” she said hesitantly, “but I don’t
understand what you’re asking of me.”
    “I want to learn,” Megan said, “But I’m afraid. I thought
maybe if you were there with me, if I watched him have sex with you, then maybe
I’d be more comfortable with it. Eventually. I thought I could maybe just
watch?”
    “Oh my God,” Janet replied, “You’re still a virgin, aren’t
you?”
    Megan pouted. “Please Janet, do this for me? You’re my best
friend. I’ve thought this through, and there’s no one else that I’d ever do
this with. You’re the only person that I trust. I know Mark won’t mind. It’s
every guy’s fantasy, right?”
    “But what about you? Will you mind?”
    “You’ve been my best friend for fifteen years. Please say
yes.” Megan grabbed her friend’s hand across the table and looked imploringly
into her blue eyes.
    “So let me get this straight, you just want to watch Mark
have sex with me?”
    Megan nodded. “And then maybe afterwards I’ll try. Maybe.”
    “He’s okay with this?”
    Megan nodded. We’ve discussed it already.”
    “And what did he say?”
    “He said that if it’s what I want, then he’ll do it.”
    Janet took another sip of her drink and considered. Of
course he would do it. Mark was fairly attractive; Megan had done quite well
with her choice in men. Of course, Megan was also quite beautiful, and always
had plenty of admirers. The fact that she was a virgin nearly blew Janet’s
mind, especially now that they were both in college.
    The biggest factor was her own boyfriend, Trevor. He would
never go for it, and if he found out… well, he’d dump her in a heartbeat. He’d
told her that he’d never cheat on her, and if she ever wanted to see others,
then they’d need to go their separate ways.
    “There’s a big condition here,” Janet said, “You can never
tell Trevor, he can’t find out. Ever.”
    “Oh thank you Janet,” Megan said, “Thank you so much. You
don’t know how much this means to me.”
    Janet nodded, and brushed a strand of blond hair out of her
eyes. What was she getting in to? “So when do you want to do this?”
    “Tomorrow? Please?”
    “Wow, that’s fast.”
    “I know, but he’s been talking about having sex and I keep
putting him off. I’m not even quite comfortable with being touched yet. I don’t
want to keep denying him. What if he loses interest in me?”
    “If he loses interest, then he’s not worth it. Your first
time is supposed to be special anyway.”
    “Oh it will be,” Megan said encouragingly.
    “So can I ask you what you’re scared of?”
    Megan nodded. “I’ve never seen one before. His… you know.”
    “His cock,” Janet supplied helpfully.
    “Yes,” Megan said, “I’ve seen it bulging in his pants when
we kiss. He’s asked me if I want to see it or touch it, but I’ve always told
him no.”
    “Why not?” asked Janet, “You could take it slow. Take
advantage of him offering. There’s nothing to be afraid of by just looking at
one, or touching it.”
    “I just
