help yourself." I can't help but giggle when he says he has food in the cabinets and fridge.
I would have never of guessed that he ate anything other than fast food and pizza.
"You have actual food at your house?" I ask.
"Yeah babe, I do. Don't let my rough and rowdy lifestyle fool you." I can imagine the smirk that is on his face right now.
Feeling a little bit better, I clean up all my stuff, and stuff it back into my bags. Once I get all my bags repacked, I hear a knock at the door. Checking the peep hole I see Anslie’s face smiling back at me. He called his sister. Of course.
Smiling to myself, I open the door to a very happy Anslie and a pissy looking Brantley.
“Hi Coley!” she squeals, pulling me in for a hug. I hug her back and look at Brantley. He says a quick hi before going to my bags. I watch him gather them like they are nothing and walk outside to a big black truck that’s parked right in front of the bottom of the stairs right outside of my room.
“What are you doing here?” I ask. I already know that answer, but I’m curious to what he told them.
“Dom asked us to make sure you listened to what he said. He said I have to make sure you go to his house and get comfortable,” she has a wide smile on her face and I know she is excited about this. Her eyes are dancing and she looks ready to walk us down the aisle.
“I was going to go there after my first shift,” I shift nervously. I forgot to mention that to Dom earlier and I know one of them is going to tell him.
“You got a job already?! Congrats!” she pulls me into another hug. “Where are you working?” she asks, as Brantley walks back into the room to grab the last bag.
“At the bar I met you guys at,” I say looking over at Brantley.
“Shit,” he mutters before walking back out with the last bag. I see him pull out his phone, and I know he’s going to be the one to call Dominic.
Anslie watches Brantley before turning to me. “Don’t worry,” she says patting my arm. “My brother is all bark and no bite.” Even before Brantley walks back inside, my phone beeps with a message.
Dominic: No. absolutely not. You will not work for that mother fucker.
Looking over at Anslie, I see her cringe a bit. She must not have assumed that he was going to message me that quick.
“You know, this means he really likes you, if he’s throwing a fit about you working at the bar,” she has a knowing grin and I can’t help but feel nervous as I reply.
Me: I need a job and they are the only place to hire me.
    Dominic: I’ll hire you.
Me: You’re crazy! No! I’m going to work at the bar.
He’s crazy if he thinks I’m going to let him tell me what to do after a few days. No way. I am done with people who tell me what I should and shouldn’t do.
“Come on let us take you to Dom’s and you can continue your texting war with him there.” I nod my head and follow them out to our cars.

Chapter Nineteen

I swear she is testing my patience with this I'm going to work at the bar. Shit, I’ve known Rob for years and I know exactly how he treats his employees.
The only reason he hired her was so he could get into her pants. There is no way I am letting that mother fucker or anyone else go near my pussy.
I know she's just going to argue with me, so I call the bastard myself.
    "Midnight Tavern," someone answers.
"Let me talk to Rob," I growl out. They tell me to hold on a sec and I get put on hold. Waiting a few minutes, I hear him ask who it is. I can hear the muffled conversation, but I never told them who I was.
    "Yeah?" he asks sounding bored.
"Rob, you just hired my old lady," I growl.
"Fuck. Dom I had no idea she was yours," his voice is now an octave higher than before, and I know he's about to piss himself. Rob knows not to fuck with us or our old ladies.
"She's dead set on working, so if   anyone gives her shit or tries to even touch what's mine, I will
