want to come home and put my feet up. I might walk out if she starts spouting off. Jordan was basically dreading Lucy’s wrath when he got home. I told him he needed to grow a dick and tell her to shut up. All he did was laugh at me and tell me that’s easy to say when she holds the key to the pussy.
I open the door and see Nikki sitting on the couch. She smiles at me before walking over and giving me a hug. Shit, the calm before the storm. “Hey, how was the trip?” Placing a kiss on my lips, she walks back over to the couch, crossing her legs.
“Long. We hit some bullshit on the way back and got delayed.” Kicking off my boots, I grab a beer out of the fridge.
“Yeah, I could tell. I would have texted you but I figured you guys were probably busy. I ordered a pizza earlier and there are leftovers on the counter if you want some.” She smiles at me before looking back toward the TV.
I stand there a minute waiting for it. For the complaints, the questions, everything they all told me to expect coming home nine hours late. Nothing. “What’s the catch?”
Nikki looks back at me, her eyebrows scrunched together. “Catch?”
“Yeah. You’re supposed to be bitching and nagging me. Givin’ me hell for being late and not telling you.” I wave my hand in the air as if I’m stating the obvious.
“Yeah, ’cause that’s totally something I would do.” She stands up, walking toward me. Her hands wrap around my neck. “Was I worried? Yeah. If you haven’t noticed, I’m not the nagging type. I knew if you were late on a run it was probably for good reason and me bothering you would have only distracted you. Would it have been nice to get a call? Yeah. Am I gonna spend the rest of the night whining about it? No. I’d rather spend the rest of the night screaming, if you know what I mean.” Her eyes trail toward the bedroom.
“Goddamn, you’re perfect.” I pick her up by her ass, carrying her to the bedroom and kicking the door closed with my foot.
The guys didn’t believe me when I said she didn’t give me any shit. I look over to see the ocean and the pilot comes on the speaker telling us we are going to be landing. I nudge Nikki’s arm. “Hey, we are almost there.”
She wakes up with a jolt and seems to be checking herself over in a frenzy. I look at her in complete confusion. “What did you do to me when I was sleeping? Huh? What kind of stupid revenge do you have planned?”
I wrap my arm around her shoulder. “No revenge, yet. Although that shit did earn you a thorough spanking later.” I scrape my teeth over her ear and she shakes beneath me.
    This week will be epic.

Chapter Thirteen
    Nikki

The island is absolutely gorgeous. Tall palm trees line the small streets. The sky is so clear as the sun beats down on the sand to my left. We pass communities of small houses bunched together. We are in the shuttle riding from the airport to the hotel. This feels so surreal to me. Being here, in this beautiful place and being with someone that I feel like I could actually care about.
I relax against him as the bus bounces over the speed bumps and we approach the front of the hotel. The attendant gets our bags out for us and as we approach the front desk, I spot his sister.
She runs up to us, bikini clad and already seeming to be working on her tan. “I’m so glad you guys are finally here!” Lizzie gives us both a hug. “We are all at the beach right now. After you check in, you have to come hang out!” She practically skips away and Twisted laughs, shaking his head.
“Hey, checking in for Cameron Pearce.” I’m thrown for a minute hearing his full name. I know it’s insane that I didn’t know it, but until Lizzie I only knew him as Twisted. Cameron Pearce. Totally not a biker name. The guy gives him our keys, telling us how to get to the room.
Walking out of the lobby I look around, taking in the resort. It’s not like the usual place you would picture with the high tower
