I should probably get going. I have to wake up and take my grandma to church in the morning.”
“Oh, please tell me I’ve been corrupting a church girl all weekend,” he begged, with a laugh.
She chuckled into him. “Not really, but I promised to take her tomorrow. I only go if I get to walk with her. But it’s all the way up in Harlem and the subway takes forever from my place, so….” She pushed herself off of him.
Alex grabbed her and brought her back down next to him. “Don’t go,” he said. “How about this, I’ll get you a car in the morning. That way you don’t have to worry about the subway and you can take grandma to church in style.”
    “Thanks but I really should—”
“Seriously,” he insisted. “I can’t let this weekend end so soon. We have yet to watch Snatch .”
She waited a beat, then nodded. Were one-night stands supposed to last this long?

T he next morning , she woke up before him. The sun was already peeking through the east-facing windows. She stared down at his sleeping face and smiled. It had been a fun weekend. Truth be told, it had been one of the best weekends of her life.
She pulled the covers down to take one last look at the part of him that had pleasured her so perfectly. Brooklyn’s lips came together in an amused twist as she leaned in to inspect the message below his pubic hair. She couldn’t wait to go back and tell her roommates about that part.
“Are you pondering what I’m pondering, Pinky?” he said.
She popped her head up in embarrassed surprise. She laughed when she saw him grinning up at her. “I think so, Brain, but how am I going to make it in time to pick up my grandmother, then make it to church before service starts?”
“So, she’s familiar with Pinky & the Brain, the best cartoon series in history. I’ve got to marry this girl!”
Brooklyn gave him a wink and got off the bed to find her clothes.
Alex pulled himself up to watch her. “So you really have to go?”
“I really have to go,” she pulled her underwear on. “It’s my turn, and I actually like my grandma. Besides, I have a present to give her.”
He nodded. “Well I did order that car last night. It should be here soon.”
“Thanks for that,” she smiled, pulling on her jeans.
He watched her as she finished getting dressed. As she pulled her lace top over her head, he got out of the bed, still completely naked and came up to her.
She bit her lip to hold back the smile at seeing his slightly hardened, morning wood. Then she blinked in surprise as his hands came up to her face.
Without a word, he leaned down to kiss her. It was long and pleasurable, and almost enough to tempt her to stay.
Then he pulled away and smiled. “Goodbye, Brooklyn Smith.”
She smiled back at him. “Goodbye, Alex Smith.”
She stared at him a moment longer then quickly escaped into the hallway, shutting the door behind her. When she made it to the first floor, she saw the Town Car waiting outside.
Her phone dinged a text message to her.
Car is yours for the entire day. Tell grandma hi for me. :)
Brooklyn stopped in her tracks, already regretting the end to the weekend. Tomorrow was Monday. Back to Mr. Wright. Back to Mr. Perfect.
Never mind that she had already pretty much experienced perfection.

“ A nd what was that I saw outside? I know you didn’t rent a Town Car just to take your grandma to church,” Lucille chided.
“Maybe I did,” Brooklyn teased, stepping inside as her grandma cast a dubious look behind her at the car.
“Mmm-hmmm,” she murmured. “Now tell grandma the real truth.”
“It’s from a friend,” Brooklyn said, being purposefully vague.
“A friend, huh?” Lucille replied, still not convinced. “Well, I certainly hope this friend is worth it.”
“If I wanted the third degree, grandma, I’d just go and take daddy to church. Or rather London, so she could act as his little informant.
“And to think, I went to all the trouble
