D aisy, I am worried about Worm,â Wiglaf said to his pig as he sat beside her in a cozy corner of the henhouse at Dragon Slayersâ Academy. ââTis not like him to stay away for so long.â
Worm was a young dragon. Wiglaf and his friend Angus had watched him hatch from his egg, and they had raised the little pipling. He was grown now, but Wiglaf still thought of him as his baby dragon.
âOrm-way ill-way ome-cay ack-bay,â
said Daisy in Pig Latin, which sheâd spoken ever since a wizard put a spell on her.
âI hope Worm will come back,â said Wiglaf. âAnd soon!â
A bell sounded.
âEgad!â Wiglaf jumped up. âI am late for Lady Lobeliaâs Table Manners class.â
Daisyâs eyes grew wide.
âAble-tay anners-may?â
âLady Lobelia serves cheese and sausages in her class!â cried Wiglaf as he zoomed out of the henhouse. ââTis a fine change from eel!â
