Chapter 1
     
    Emma stood in the bedroom eyeing her handiwork. Bed made. Lights dimmed. Sultry music ready on the playlist. Everything was perfect.
    She glanced at the two glass bowls on the top of the dresser. The sex fantasy game her husband Jake created had given them some amazing experiences. She’d thoroughly enjoyed drawing random fantasies from the bowls each time Jake returned home from a flight. As she looked at the one remaining slip of paper in each bowl, she felt a little sad that the game was about to come to an end.
    But she knew they had even greater adventures ahead of them.
    In her hand she held one final slip of paper, one she would sneak into her bowl once it was empty. Smiling, she hid it in her nightstand drawer and took the glass bowls to the kitchen table where she and Jake would enjoy a late evening snack and a glass of wine before drawing the last fantasies.
     
    Soft light flickered in the windows as Jake approached the house. Music floated through the air, reaching his ears just as Emma opened the door. His stomach flipped when he saw his wife, and not just because he’d missed her the past two days.
    She leaned against the doorjamb, a see-through black robe hanging open over a black lace bra and matching panties.
    Wow.
    “Welcome home,” she said, her voice warm and smooth like melted caramel.
    Jake smiled, stepping into the house, dropping his duffel bag, and kicking the door shut behind him. He slid his arms around her waist and pulled her tight against him, lowered his face, and found her mouth with his. He took his time, drawing out the press of lips, the slow sweep of his tongue against hers, and the tension so rigidly coiled inside him softened to steaming simmer.
    He slowed the kiss, his lips still grazing hers as he pulled back just enough to speak.
    “I could get used to this kind of welcome,” he chuckled.
    “When have I ever not welcomed you home properly?” she asked, wiggling her eyebrows.
    Jake pretended to think for a moment, then pressed another hard kiss against her lips. “You’re right. You always do.”
    Emma took his hand and led him toward the kitchen table, where a bottle of Chardonnay, a wedge of Brie, and gourmet crackers waited, along with the fantasy bowls.
    Nice.
    “You’re going the wrong way,” Jake said, giving her a playful tug in the direction of the bedroom.
    She giggled, looking over her shoulder at him with a sexy smile. “Good things come to those who wait.”
    “Well, in that case,” he said, raising his eyebrows. “Yes ma’am.”
    Who was he to argue if his wife wanted to seduce him?
    The soft, glowing candlelight made Emma’s simple table setting look exotic and romantic. He smiled, leaning down to give her an approving kiss on the cheek.
    He stepped behind her and pulled out her chair, slipping easily into his role as the chivalrous husband. It was easy with a wife he loved like crazy. He picked up the wine bottle and filled her glass, then sat down next to her and filled his own.
    “I admit,” Emma began, taking a sip of her wine, “I sort of staged this.”
    “No!” Jake feigned sarcasm.
    “Well, I know which fantasy is left in my bowl, and it required a little prep work.” She rubbed her barefoot across his ankle, finding her way inside his pants leg to touch skin. “So, I took the liberty.”
    He breathed deep, enjoying the sensation of her foot against his calf. He doubted he’d ever get tired of how her touch excited him.
    “It’s good that you did,” he said after a moment. “Because I had to put a little forethought into mine as well.”
    Emma grinned, and arousal coursed through him.
    She took a cracker with a generous slice Brie, and said, “Well then, let’s get to it.”
    Sliding her bowl across to him, he dipped his hand in to retrieve the final fantasy she’d included.
     
     
     

Chapter 2
