faded red letters. Her hair was
tousled from sleep but her eyes were bright as though she’d slept a full eight
hours. Sometimes he was jealous of her ability to function on so little sleep.
More alert thanks to the coffee, Tony glanced at the bedside
clock. “It’s after five. You’re not at the restaurant?”
    “Elena’s baby shower is today.”
Tony winced. Even with all his organization, he’d forgotten.
“That’s right.”
“I figured it slipped your mind. That’s why I came home so
late. Well, later than usual. I prepped all the pastries so all the morning
crew needed to do was pop the pans in the oven and then deliver them to Perfect
Shot.”
“You’ve already called to check on them, haven’t you?”
Genevieve held up two fingers as she drank. “Figured as much.” Tony leaned
forward and kissed the tip of her nose. “Control freak.”
Her eyebrows lifted as she lifted the hem of her shirt. A
few dark spots marked her skin from where he’d held on to her hips. “Look who’s
talking.”
Tony spread his hand against her flesh, feeling the
comforting heat against his palm. She smiled at him over the rim of her mug.
Arousal he hadn’t burned off a few hours ago flared to life. Maybe he could put
a few more marks on her before she left for the shower. Struck with inspiration
he set his mug on the nightstand. As he reached for her, she jumped off the bed
and out of his reach.
“Hey. How am I supposed to molest you from across the room?”
He threw back the covers and slid off the bed.
“My, my, someone is certainly happy to see me.” She tapped
the tip of his erect cock and smiled as she then pointed to the open bedroom
door. “Our houseguest is awake. I don’t think he’d appreciate the view of your
ass as he’s going to take a shower. How about some fuel instead? I’ve got
breakfast all ready for you two.” She sidestepped him, grabbed his mug and
vanished before he had a chance to insist they could simply shut the door.
She sure hadn’t minded the fact they had a houseguest last
night.
In fact he had thought she’d like the idea they were loud
enough to be heard.
He pulled on a pair of rumpled shorts and followed her into
the kitchen, where she presented him with fresh coffee. He set the mug on the
counter, uninterested. “Thank you. But I wasn’t done. Screw the fact we have a
houseguest. I want to screw my wife.”
He set her coffee on the counter beside his and then cupped
her jaw as he tilted her face toward his. The first brush of his mouth against
hers was electric. As though they hadn’t just spent the past few hours trying
to burn away their desire for each other. The throbbing at the base of his cock
fascinated him. He hadn’t been this ready to go at a moment’s notice in a long
time. Hadn’t felt this strong of a pull toward her in a long time either.
He felt a twinge of guilt at the fact. As much as he loved
and adored Genevieve he suspected she wasn’t the only cause for this sudden
wave of insatiability. The idea of Dade walking in on them when they were
having sex excited him.
The fridge closed with a loud thud.
Dade had joined them in a kitchen.
Tony pulled away. “We’ll finish that later.” He grabbed a
plate Genevieve had piled high with fluffy scrambled eggs and made his way to
the small table in the breakfast nook. “Morning, Dade.”
Dade grunted in response as he poured coffee.
Genevieve set three empty plates on the table, returning to
the stove to shoo Dade to the table despite his protests he wasn’t hungry. “I
made enough for an army. Might as well eat it instead of shunning breakfast
altogether as I know you tend to do.”
Dade grunted again, scowling as he came over to the breakfast
nook.
Tony snorted. Dade wouldn’t know what hit him if he refused
her again. Genevieve could be quite the caretaker. Tony had been on the
receiving end of her temper when she made up her mind about feeding someone.
She usually took it as some kind
