One Twisted Valentine

delicate business. But thank God we’re still married. Let’s go to
bed.’ I would love to see that.”
“Smartass,” Eva said. “But yeah, I think it would be
hot. We’ve all been together enough to know we’re comfortable. I
think role-playing like this could be pretty fun.”
As she talked, she could see Peter processing it
through his mind.
“Sexy,” he said, using one of his pet names for her,
“you know I’ll do anything to make you happy.”
It was true. Somehow Eva had snagged a husband whose
major turn on was watching her scream and writhe and come shouting
his name, or shouting anything really. If Eva was excited about
this, she was sure he’d jump on board.
“What do you like about this?” he asked. Eva had been
tumbling just that question through her mind. From the first moment
she imagined this scenario, the thought had shot a flame through
her pelvis and thighs.
“I think it’s the idea of being denied what I want,”
Eva said. “You know the first night with Brooke, she was looking to
me for permission, for my consent to you doing things with her. She
was kind of submissive to me, even though we both know she wanted
you as much as she wanted me. The idea of reversing that and of, in
a way, sleeping with you again for the first time. Having to hold
myself back until she lets me have you. That is fucking hot.”
Peter sat for a moment, still running the idea over
and over in his head. Eva could see he was coming over. Then he got
the curving little smirk he showed when he was in a teasing
mood.
    “What?” Eva asked.
“Well, I guess that means I’ll need my wife’s
permission to have any fun with you,” Peter said.
    “Very funny,” Eva said.
“It’s only four days to Valentine’s Day,” Peter said.
“You can make it until then without me, can’t you?”
    “Are you serious?”
One glance at him and she knew he was. For a moment a
flare of anger warmed her breast. She hadn’t thought this up just
to end up not getting any. Then she could see his smile warm for
her.
“You know it will make it much better if we…
wait.”
Eva knew in an instant he was right. She decided to
tease back and stepped close to him. Her breast, bound in a bra
under her shirt, pressed his arm and brushed full against his
bicep.
“It’s going to be tough to keep our hands off each
other,” Eva said. She shifted, dragging the swell of her breast
back and forth along his skin.
“It will.” All his teasing was gone. Peter leaned in,
stroking Eva’s cheek tenderly and planted a slow, full kiss to her
lips. After long moments of burning pleasure, Eva drew back.
    “No more until Valentine’s Day.”

At the appointed time, Eva shot from her office like
it was on fire. She was so eager for this evening she wanted to
claw at the minutes, to drag the future to her faster.
Parking her car by Brooke’s apartment building, Eva
felt a tremble of nerves. She lived in upper scale building facing
east towards Michigan Avenue and the lake that had no parking on
its own, forcing Eva to leave her car in a parking garage across
the street and walk over.
With every step towards the ornate building, Eva
heard a strange, piano-like key plink in her mind. A cold blast of
winter wind rushed off the lake and through the concrete canyon as
Eva minced across the frozen asphalt in her high heels. She pulled
her coat tight around her, feeling the icy air churn up her leg and
in through the short skirt of her thin slip of a dress.
She hadn’t been alone on a date in over ten years,
but somehow even the thin veneer of this evening’s fantasy made her
feel like she wanted to make a good impression. To her husband, no
less. This, even before she set foot in Brooke’s apartment, Eva
knew tonight was going to be more powerful than she had
anticipated. She could feel the evening falling on her, like a new
outfit, strange and shaping, bringing out of her depths a whole new
feeling of
