scrambled upward,
grasping my hand as he pulled me up the stairs after him. He looked truly
embarrassed, and I laughed as we quickly made my way to my room. He slammed the
door behind us and I couldn't help but laugh again.
He quickly gathered his clothes, dressed, and then
kissed me.
"I'll catch you later," he grinned. Then, he
opened the door, stepped through it, and was gone
I heard him going down the stairs, and then the sound
of laughter from two of the girls downstairs. I didn't bother coming out of my
room. Moments later, I heard the deep rumble of his motorcycle and listened as
he pulled away from the curb and away. I decided it was a good idea to stay up
here for a while. Not that I was terribly embarrassed, although I was rather
chagrined that we been caught. But Luke had seemed more humble tonight,
actually quite meek. I liked this side of him, not that I wanted a pushover,
but it was nice to know that he did have some feelings, that he had allowed a
least a portion of the wall he erected around himself, no pun intended, to come
down.
Still, while I felt like we had made a step in the
right direction and I was excited about it, I still wasn't sure whether Luke
would meet the rest of my requirements. After all, he didn't even play a sport!
