other female.”
Resting against him, Titania took the comfort he offered with the presence of his body.
“Good. Anyone who disputes my claim in this pack will answer to me and me alone.”
She stroked his arm. Her pussy was sore from the fucking he’d given her. His seed was spilling down her inner thigh.
“I don’t want you leaving this house without me or a male escort.”
    “Why?”
“What I’m about to tell you has to stay between us. Charlotte doesn’t even know the truth.”
Biting her lip, she glanced behind her at him. Rolling to her back, Titania gave him her full attention.
“Tabitha has gone missing. She was scheduled to return to the house a week ago. No one can find her. There is no evidence she even made it to town.”
“And it’s not like her to not notify us if she isn’t going to make it.” Titania finished his sentence for him. “Something has happened to her.”
“The Eagles are up to something. The guys don’t know what’s going on, only that something is going on. I know, confusing,” Cade said. “Our only link is when Micah was forced to mate Charlotte, Brandon had come demanding women.”
“But Brandon is gone. How can we know for sure they’re responsible for it?” she asked, concerned. The Eagles were a vicious pack. With Brandon as a leader, they’d been controlled to a point and that control was gone without an alpha to lead.
“It’s our problem to figure out.”
“You think the Eagles have taken Tabitha?”
Cade shrugged. “All I know is Tabitha is missing and it’s as much of a threat that Micah wants no one alone.” Cupping her face again, he looked into her eyes. “I’ve just gotten you. Don’t give me a cause to become feral, Titania. I’d do whatever it takes to win you back.”
Licking her lips, Titania nodded. “Eagles don’t have a town or a territory. Finding them will be difficult.”
    “I know. We’ll find it.”
“If I have to take care because of you then you’ve got to take care as well. I’m yours and you’re mine,” she said.
“I know, baby. Don’t worry, I can take care of myself and this pack.” He kissed her before smiling down at her. “I’m one of the safest men in this pack.”
Glancing down at the tattoo on his arm, Titania thought about the rumors she’d heard about him. “Is it true you could be alpha of this pack?” she asked.
Cade froze. His gaze was unwavering as he stared at her. “No, I can never be the alpha of this pack. I can fight, Titania and I’ll protect this pack more than anything but you’ll come first.”
    “Thank you for telling me.”
“No more secrets between us. You’re the only one who matters.” He kissed her again. “It’s time for a shower.” Cade picked her up and carried her through to the bathroom. Titania squealed at being moved.
“I can shower myself,” she protested.
“And I don’t get the satisfaction of cleaning your pussy? I don’t think so. I took your virginity, Titania. I’m going to be the one to clean you up.”
His gentleness pleased her. Looking up at him Titania felt the love grow for him. There was far more to Cade than simply being a brute. He was a strong man, a hard man, but he possessed kindness within him.
She stood waiting for him to turn the shower on. The tattoo of the wolf emerging behind rocks and the full moon behind him caught her attention. There were so many tattoos on his body. The crudest one was the woman being fucked. The red heart over his chest held a blank line, was he waiting to add a name to his heart?
When the water was warm, he picked her up and placed her under the hot water.
“I can walk and get into the tub, you know?”
“What fun would I get?” He pulled her hair away and kissed her neck, nibbling the area he’d bitten. “I like having you in my arms.”
“You’re going to pull something if you keep lifting me around,” she said.
“I’m a lot stronger than you think.”
    Titania didn’t argue with
