and hugged him.
    “ Thank you for coming to
get me,” he whispered.
    The return hug was strong enough to
realign his spine, but he didn’t protest.
    “ You’re welcome, brother,”
Wil replied, then released him and stepped back.
    Turning to Dray, Pib stood still as the
man seemed to be inspecting him to make sure he was in one piece.
When their eyes finally met, Pib jumped into Dray’s arms, wrapping
his own arms and legs around the dragon before kissing him for all
he was worth.
    “ Guys, I know you’re happy
to be reunited and all, but can we go back to the cottage and you
can jump each other there? We don’t know how safe this place
is.”
    Wil’s interruption was annoying, but he
was right. They weren’t safe here. Pouting, Pib unwound himself
from Dray and waited until they shifted. When Wil cocked his head
at Pib, he shook his head. “I’m staying human.”
    Dray nodded, then lowered himself as
close to the ground as possible. Understanding the hint, Pib
maneuvered himself onto Dray’s back, hoping he’d be able to stay on
during the flight.
    Don’t worry, I’ll catch you
if you decide to be stubborn and fall off.
    Pib frowned and looked at Dray, trying
to figure out how he’d heard the dragon’s voice in his head. He
didn’t have much time to think about it before Dray took to the
sky, Pib on his back and Wil gently, but securely, in his claws.
Watching the scenery, Pib saw where he’d ended up and realized just
how close they were to the border. Luckily for him, the idiots who
had been sent to get him couldn’t tell exactly where the borders
were. If they had known, they would have realized that all they had
to do was get through the forest. After that, they could make up
any lie about why they had Pib in their custody and everyone would
believe them. Those that didn’t, wouldn’t have the power to do
anything about it.
    By the time they arrived back to the
cottage, Pib was ready to fall off Dray’s back and just go to
sleep. All he’d done the entire time was hang in a bag, but the
adrenalin, fear, and anger he’d felt was enough to leave him
exhausted now. He didn’t even realize he’d gotten off Dray’s back
until he heard Wil speak.
    “ Dray, shift and then you
can take him. I think we’ll have to leave the yelling until later
because he’s about ready to fall asleep.”
    Pib felt himself being lifted and held
against a chest, one that smelled like Dray. Cuddling in closer,
Pib released a purr and then let the darkness take him
away.
     
     
    Pib awoke in his own bed, comfortable,
warm, and happy. The feeling of a body pressed against his back was
unusual, but the scent revealed it to be Dray, so Pib wasn’t
concerned.
    “ Don’t think I’m unaware
you’re awake,” Dray murmured in his ear, and Pib
shivered.
    “ Fine, I’m awake,” Pib
admitted.
    “ We’re going to talk about
you not staying safe and out of harm’s way.”
    “ Okay, but first…” Pib
moved quickly. Within seconds, Dray was on his back, staring up at
Pib while he straddled Dray’s hips, his hands exploring the
wonderfully toned, and naked, chest in front of his eyes. Unable to
resist, Pib started purring with each stroke against the warm
flesh.
    “ You are wearing entirely
too many clothes, Pib,” Dray growled, placing his hands on Pib’s
hips and squeezing.
    Although Pib agreed with the statement,
he didn’t want to stop patting and get up in order to take his
clothes off. Realizing that getting naked would mean he could rub
his own chest against Dray’s made the decision for him. Jumping off
his bed, he stripped as fast as he could without ripping anything,
then leaped back on the sexy dragon in his bed.
    Twin groans of arousal were released
when their naked bodies finally made contact, before Dray snarled
and rolled them until Pib was lying on the bed, Dray caging him in
place with his body. Pib shivered with arousal as he stared into
Dray’s glowing eyes. The possessiveness in them turned
