all like fools.”
The traveling “Porn on Parade” Strip show brought in a lot of publicity and a lot of protesters from the local feminist groups. It was a great money maker for the club and the regular girls made huge tips from the crowd these “famous” girls brought in. Melvin, who’s only job was to keep men from touching the girls from the road show decided he wanted to puff out his chest and act like a big shot in front of these women and defend their livelihood. Melvin stepped up to what he thought was the “protester” in charge and examined her as he chewed on the rest of his pulled pork.
The woman, somewhere in her late forty’s was wearing a dress right out of “Little House on the Prairie” with the full length dress, full sleeves and a button up top that almost seemed to choke her. Her hair was tied in a short bun, and the overall color scheme of her outfit was grey and black, including the nasty boots she wore that looked like they came from a construction site. With the pork swallowed, Melvin spoke up and asked, “What’s up?”
The woman looked at Melvin and scoffed at the writing on his t-shirt. “Event staff?” she said laughing. “Security? Why would these women need security?”
“I guess a lot of guys like to squeeze a little tit when they can,” Melvin replied. “That’s against the rules.”
“Rules?” the woman asked back mockingly. “Why do you need rules when your “vagina” is out for the whole world to see? I think once you break that barrier, everything is up for grabs.”
“I think it might be a state law,” Melvin replied.
“You think? Did you have to pass a test to get your job?”
Picking the pork out of his teeth, Melvin replied, “I’m pretty sure it’s a state law.”
The woman stared at Melvin and shook her head in disgust. She looked at the other six women, similarly dressed and made sure they were also shaking their heads in disgust. “What self-respecting man would allow women to act like whores in a magic show?”
“I just work here, I don’t own them,” Melvin replied.
“That’s your excuse?” She mocked back. “I suppose that’s what the guards at Auschwitz said when they were gassing Jews and burning them in ovens.”
“I’m not gassing anyone, I’m just here to fetch clothes, get drinks and keep the men from touching the women. They’re over eighteen and it’s all legal.”
“So is abortion!” she snapped back.
“Nobody’s getting an abortion here lady!” Melvin snapped back. “It’s a show, that’s all, just entertainment.”
“You know what the Roman’s did for “Entertainment?” she asked.
“You know what lady, you need to get laid,” Melvin stated pointing his finger at her flat chest.
“I have never had sex I want you to know, I am a virgin and proud of it.” she said with her nose firmly up.
“How old are you?” Melvin asked.
“Old enough to know better,” she replied.
“You lying sack of shit,” Melvin said with a smirk.
The woman, now fuming mad handed her sign to the woman next to her and raised her dress up high enough to show Melvin her chastity belt strapped over her full length underwear that ran the length of her entire body under the dress. She quickly dropped the dress back down and took her sign back from the woman standing next to her. “There, does that prove to you I’m serious?”
“Seriously fucked up maybe,” Melvin replied. “These women are making a legal living and your protests are giving them free advertising. We couldn’t ask for better publicity so I’d like to personally thank you for showing up and bringing in a crowd.”
“You think you’re so smart?” the woman asked mocking Melvin. “Wait until everyone in town sees who goes to these shows? We brought cameras and are going to post pictures of every man that walks in the door. We will bring shame upon them and teach them that women are equals and people and not sexual play toys for men.”
