needed. She had thought about calling Ben to apologize about what had happened but decided not to; what could she really say? Sorry for hooking up with your brother when I never even hooked up with you?

She looked at her watch and sighed. She had two hours left to pack and then Richard would be picking her up to go to the airport. She hadn’t seen him since the night they all went out Salsa dancing. All of the arrangements had been done via phone and email and she felt like just maybe, going forward everything was going to be professional. She had seen David the evening before at a coffee shop and he had mentioned that he and Monique were going to be shooting a commercial together. She had wanted to ask what was going on with Monique and Richard but knew that she didn’t really want to know.

“Do I really want to bring this?” She muttered to herself as she held up a black negligee.  She sighed and stuffed it into her suitcase. She jumped as her phone rang and smiled when she saw David’s name.

“Hey, you.” She grinned into the phone. She was really happy to have a friend in David and wished she had the courage to tell him what was going on with her and Richard. She just didn’t want him to look at her differently.

“Hey pumpkin head.” He laughed into the phone. “I can’t believe you are now working for another one of my brothers.”

“I can’t believe it either.” She lay back on her bed and sighed. “I hope this one doesn’t fire me as well.”

“If he does, then you can come work for me.” David’s voice was strong and assuring and Louise smiled. David had gotten the hint that she wasn’t interested in him as more of a friend and had stopped trying to come onto her. He was fast becoming one of her closet friends.

“Then I can be known as the Beekman Brother whore.” She laughed into the phone, only half joking.

“Well seeing as none of us has had the great luck to have you in our bed, then I don’t think whore can be the operative word. Maybe you can be the Beekman Brother siren.” David laughed and Louise felt a twinge at guilt at his words.
“Siren I’m not.” She laughed uncomfortably. “Oh David, I’ll miss you.”

“You’ll only be gone for a few weeks Louise. When you get back we can go and look at dogs and you can help me choose one.”

“Yay that will be great.” She sighed as she looked at the time. “Though I better go now, I have a lot of packing left to do and I’m sure Richard won’t be happy if I’m not ready when he arrives.”

“Okay luv, good luck. Have fun and don’t let my brother ride you too hard.”

“I’ll try not to.” She smiled into the phone, knowing that she was thinking of a different kind of ride altogether. She hung up the phone and had just zipped up the case when the doorbell rang. She walked slowly to the door and took a few deep breaths before opening it up. Richard stood there looking casually handsome in a pair of faded jeans and a navy blue Rugby top. She sighed as she studied his face, he had day old stubble and his black hair was that little bit too long and had a bit of a curl.

“Hi.” She smiled at him. “Do you want to come in for a second, while I get my stuff together.”

“Sure.” He stared at her and she felt his eyes on her body. She was still wearing a pair of gym shorts and a tank top and she didn’t have on a bra. She felt his eyes on her breasts and she could feel her nipples protruding from her thin top.

“I’m nearly ready. I just need to change.” She bit her lip as he walked into the apartment and looked around. She looked at her apartment through his eyes and cringed; it was far from the grandeur he was accustomed to.

“No problem.” He smiled at her finally. “You have a nice apartment.”

“Ha, thanks.” She laughed. “It’s small and cheaply furnished.”

“But it looks homey and comfy.” He stared into her
