                  Charlie knew that after months of running, her resistance was damn near nonexistent.  She just had to keep in mind to guard her heart because she knew that if she let him in, he could hurt her worse than any other man ever dared.
                  Jake pulled his Range Rover up to his sleek, modern four thousand square foot home located right outside of Dallas in Plano, Texas.                   Her thoughts were interrupted when Jake came around and opened her door, helping her out of the sleek SUV.
                  As he unlocked the front door, the security system beeped.  The lights were turned down low, and they closed the door behind them as they walked into the foyer.
                  Charlie looked around, admiring Jake’s house.  It was huge, but she didn’t understand why he had such a large home with just him living there. 
    As he gave her a tour, she noticed that his home was traditional with hints of modern touches. There were large double doors that opened into a huge foyer that had dark hardwood floors.  The foyer was grand in comparison to what Charlie was used to; left of the double doors was a large winding staircase leading to a landing that was backed with large French style windows overlooking a massive backyard.  To the right of the doors was a short hall leading to the open downstairs section of the house that held the family room and the den.  The large master bedroom was just off the den, and his massive kitchen that would have any chef envious, opened up to the family room.
    “Your home is really beautiful, Bear,” Charlie remarked as she made herself comfortable on the large sofa in his den.
    “Thank you, Heart.  I’m glad you like it.”  Jake handed Charlie a glass of wine as he sat down beside her.
    They sat comfortably sipping their drinks, talking, and laughing, when the conversation turned a little more sexual.
