shall lose all sanity.
My entire life depends on how you respond to this. You do not know how much I love you. Just give me a chance to prove to you that I am the only woman God made just for you in this life.
Love,
Cheryl Abraham”
‘An excellent attempt honey. From now on, I shall make sure that it is all true in practice if not in spirit.’ I mused as I whiled away the day, rehearsing mentally, what I had to do tomorrow.
I was very fresh & cheerful, as I entered the class that day. I could sense the buzz of excitement with everyone chattering about the overnight tenting and campfire. The time flew as I went through the rigmarole. After the class, I could see Cheryl lingering, as she wanted my feedback on the literary piece done by her yesterday, before joining the rest of the college to the picnic. I played around with some papers, heightening the suspense and waiting for most of the class to leave. I put on a gloomy expression on my face, which was causing a lot of worry for Cheryl, as I could clearly see with a side-on glance. I got up, and headed straight for Cheryl, who was waiting with bated breath.
“I am sorry to be blunt Cheryl, but it appears that my expectations of you were not well placed. Your composition of decent text could take a lot of improvement. As for the piece you came up with, it is fit the bin.”
I could see her go pale with disappointment and embarrassment. She was totally downcast, which was where I wanted her right now.
“I am an impatient man Cheryl. I don’t want to waste my time for nothing, if you are not up to it. But in your case, I tend to give you a second chance. I would see you at my place in an hour’s time. Here is the address. If you cannot prefer your studies to the trivialities, I obviously cannot help it. I must say that I am being overly compassionate by giving you my own time but I do want to make sure by discussing this with you, whether you can improve.” I said meanly, handing over my visiting card to her.
“As for the annual picnic Cheryl, I have to join the boys and girls there, & would be perfectly happy in giving you a ride there.”
‘Yeah sure, what a ride this would be honey!’ I thought to myself.
Cheryl was now picking up her courage after the initial shock.
“Sure Mr. Brown sir, and I am grateful to you for giving me this opportunity. I shall be there dot on time & try and learn from you. I am sure, I could take a lot of improvement from your able coaching.” Cheryl blurted out. I had not given her much choice. I was sure of one thing; she was going to do a lot of learning in the immediate phase of her life.
My plan set, I left for my home. All along the way, I kept thinking of Cheryl, the mysteries of her young body and their unraveling. I shuddered with excitement as I hummed to myself.
Back home, I parked the car in the garage. I looked all around me but there was no one watching. I went inside and got the jar of chloroform that I had procured the other day from a laboratory attendant at some cost. I doused some of it on a handkerchief. I then sat in a chair in the verandah and waited.
It was about 20 minutes, before I heard creaking sound of a bike approaching. I braced myself for the ultimate show down and got up. Cheryl was a bit flushed from cycling all the way to meet her destiny. I could see the color of sun on her rosy cheeks, as she got down from the bike and looked at me, smiling a bit hesitantly.
“Well I am here, Mr. Brown.”
“None too soon, honey. Come in and make yourself comfortable.” I led her in and gestured her to a chair. “Make yourself comfortable, while I get you something to drink.” She smiled in an innocent way at me, her eyes melting with the smile. She was probably expecting a short shrift. I turned and reached for the jar, poured a liberal amount on the handkerchief and reached her in two big strides. Before she knew what was
