    She dropped her head slightly and whispered, “Fine, thank you.”

    He kissed her again and held her tight. He led her to one of the barstools surrounding the kitchen island and sat, with her standing tucked between his legs. “Today was a one-off, baby.     Rob came around the counter and pulled her from Jon’s arms. “I want to thank you for the best day of my adult life.” He was almost bent over double so he could look into her eyes. “I think you are the best thing to happen to my brother in forever, and I thank you for the best birthday present ever. Jon has made it clear that what we did will never be repeated, and I understand. If you were my woman, I would not share you, either. Now, I have fixed you my extra-special, super-deluxe ham-and-banana sandwich with a large glass of iced tea.” He kissed the top of her head and let her go.
    The three sat and chatted over Rob’s creative sandwiches, and Rob cried foul when he saw Dizzy pull the banana out of the sandwich. She ate the banana and the sandwich, so he could not complain too loudly. After their meal Dizzy went in search of her clothing. The men decided to shower and get ready for the night, too.
    When she did not find her shoes under the bed in the master bedroom, she went through the house searching for the missing heels. She walked into the playroom, trying to remember if she lost them there, and looked into the bathroom. She could not stop the squeal that popped out when she walked into the room and almost straight into Rob.
    A naked Rob that was toweling off from his shower. His head was buried in a towel, and the rest of his body shocked her. She took to her heels and ran from the room and up the stairs. She sat on the chair and tried to reconcile what she knew and what she saw.
