Chapter 1

“Luke, can you explain to me again why the hell you signed this stupid contract?”

Lucifer Drake, musician, rising rock star, and right now, hung over as hell, slouched at the table in the tour bus.

“I told you already, it was before ‘Wired for Sin’ came out. It was just one of the summer shows I agreed to do. That theater is on a beach, girls in bikinis, bars, ya know…why not?”

Harry, his manager/promotor/right hand man scrubbed at his shaved head, “I got you out of the other contracts so you could do this tour, but I don’t see a way out of this one, this chick must have a pack of lawyers on retainer, this thing is 40 pages long and solid as hell.”

Luke grabbed the papers and glanced at them again, the name Lilly Thorn was scrawled at the bottom. He rested his forehead on the palm of his hand, “Yeah, she IS the lawyer…I think? Something about inheriting the family theater and coming home to run it. I don’t know, I don’t remember,” he paused, grinning “sexy thing though, I remember that. Maybe I should go talk to her?” He did remember Lilly Thorn, hot as hell, she was like Jessica Rabbit come to life, all business, white blouse, pencil skirt, high heels, smooth legs, more curves than the Pacific Coast highway, cooler too. Much cooler, she had barely given him the time of day, but there was something…. He remembered her tumbling hair, her pouty lips and how much he had wanted to kiss them. To feel them on him, somewhere, anywhere…especially there. She was not a skinny club girl, she was a real woman. All woman, with breasts and hips where breasts and hips should be. She had made his cock twitch, and he hadn’t even touched her, except for their hands brushing as he signed the contract. Her eyes had held his a beat too long, but he hadn’t had the nerve to   act on it. Knowing he’d be back had kept the memory alive and well. He had thought of her often, like late at night when he needed release, he would conjure her, like he was right now, and just like now his cock would pulse at the thought of her.   She was warm and sweet, with hips and breasts, curves in all the right places, she was a handful of woman.

Harry sighed and startled Luke out of his memory/wet dream, and pushed his wire rimmed glasses back up on his nose. “You’re gonna have to talk to her, and you’re probably going to have to honor your contract as well. I dunno, bring your sexy rocker game, maybe she’ll be so overcome with lust she’ll let you out of this. But I doubt it. What’s the rule Luke?”

“Right, I know. No signing unless you’re there. You wouldn’t take my calls then though.” Talking about the rules was definitely taking the wind out of his sexual sails.

“Well I’m taking them now, and this gig is gonna cost us both a fortune. You could be doing a thousand other things, and you’ll be stuck in this dingy little tourist trap of a town instead. You know what? Forget the signing thing…don’t even say the word ‘contract’ unless I’m there,” Harry straightened his short sleeved button down shirt and got up from the table. He rose to his full height of just barely 5 feet tall and stared Luke, who was still sitting, in the eye. “I think you need to give this gal a call.”

    “Sure thing boss. Later”

“Now, Luke! We have some decisions to make about venues, if we’re going to end up in upstate New York on a man made lake in July, well, working around that is going to be a fucking challenge. The sooner we know, the better.”

Harry picked up Luke’s cell phone and dialed. He paused before poking the last number, “just be nice, feel her out, maybe we can work this out?”

“Feel her up? I can do that,” he said, ducking as Harry swatted at his head.

    ***************

The desk phone chirped and Lilly checked the caller ID, “Hey Chelle, would you get that for me, I don’t recognize the number.”

    “Sure thing,” her assistant,
