after nine. Jean-Paul should be home. She dialed the number and listened impatiently to the phone in their house ringing.
“Hello?” Jean-Paul’s voice flowed through her like warm honey. She sighed.
“Hi, sweetheart. I miss you.” She smiled to herself, getting comfortable on the bed.
“Cora! You are all right? Where are you?” The worry in his tone surprised her. She sat up, swinging her legs to the floor.
“I’m fine. I’m in my room at the dude ranch. What’s wrong?”
He gave a heavy, relieved sigh. “I tried to call you a dozen times last night. When you did not answer, I became worried. You have many messages on your voice mail, mon amour .” A pang of guilt hit her.
“I’m sorry, I had a little trouble.” She leaned back on the bed again.
“What kind of trouble?” His tone became wary.
“Nothing serious, a little car trouble” She wasn’t about to tell him of the Werewolf attack, not yet. “Some cowboys helped me out.”
“Cowboys? What sort of cowboys?” Jean-Paul’s voice took on a deeper, sexy tone.
“You would have liked them. They let me stay the night with them.” She shifted back to lean against the pillows again.
“Ah, and did you thank them properly for their hospitality?” Jean-Paul’s voice purred into her ear.
She smiled. “Of course I did.” She proceeded to tell him about her night. When she finished, she could hear the hitch in his breathing.
“I should not have asked you to tell me that, mon amour . My dick is so hard now it aches to be inside you.”
Cora stood, stepping over to her overnight bag. “Then we should do something about that, shouldn’t we?”
He chuckled. “How? You are hundreds of miles from me. I am long, mon amour , but not that long.”
She tucked the phone against her shoulder as she opened her bag. “Silly. Go and get on the bed.” She listened to him walking into their bedroom. The soft rustle of the bedding as he sat down made her mouth go dry.
    “I am here. Now what?”
“Now I want you to put the phone on speaker and undress.” She took out her vibrator then went back to the bed. “When you’re naked, pull back the covers.” She listened to him do as she instructed. “Get into bed.”
“Cora, you are seriously turning me on.”
“That’s the idea, sweetheart. Now get the vibrator out of the nightstand. The warming gel is right beside it.”
She heard his breathing increase followed by the sound of the drawer opening. “I have them.”
Cora’s nipples hardened. Her clit throbbed. “Good. I want you to touch yourself with the vibrator. All over.”
“Oh, Cora.” He sounded as if he’d been running a marathon.
    “Does it feel good?”
“Yes.” She heard the tightness of need in his voice. “Oh, mon amour .”
She was seriously aroused herself. “Now I want you to slick down the vibrator with the gel.”
    “Fuck,” he whispered.
    “Is it done?”
    “Yes. Fuck, Cora.”
“Put it inside you.” His low moan as he obeyed her almost made her come. “Fuck yourself with it.”
    “Yes.”
“Remember the last time we used the vibrator. Think about it. You fucked me with it. It’s been inside me. It’s the way you feel inside me, think about that.” She heard her own arousal in the hoarseness of her own voice. Cora listened to Jean-Paul’s ragged breathing. He was going to come soon.
She heard the low moan of her name from her lover. “It feels like the cowboys did when they fucked me,” she whispered.
A loud groan followed Jean-Paul’s sharp gasp. He swore softly in French, and then she heard nothing but silence. She waited.
“I think you killed me, mon amour ,” he said at last. He sounded sleepy.
    Cora smiled. “I hope not.”
“I will sleep like the dead.”
They both chuckled. “Sweet dreams, sweetheart. Hang up the phone now and go to sleep. I’ll call you tomorrow with more cowboy tales.”
“Cora, you are my treasure.” She heard him yawn as he disconnected.
    Cora turned
