Chapter 27
THE LAST MEETING
That same day, in the evening, Amelia felt the need to return to the grove she and Juan used to go always together. Before long, the young woman sat next to a tall tree. She began to look at the green water lake. She was suffering a lot about the whole situation. She did not know where to start her life without Juan Carlos and much worse than that, she did not know how to deal with the idea that she knew she still loved the person who was the sole suspected of killing her father.
The cold murderer who brought the person she loved most in her life. She always clung to her father. Walter had always been a good father, whatever his other faults.
Looking down, Amelia saw the skirt of her white dress. For a moment, he thought her life could be at peace as the color of her dress. So white and serene in your body.
Then he sighed and looked up, tears wanted to lose her eyes. She was really devastated. Her heart was broken, broken, torn.
Within moments, her eyes were anesthetized when she heard a voice telling her bitterly.
"No, you could not have done this to me!
She looked at the tree behind her and saw someone from his back. Juan Carlos was hiding behind the tree. As she spoke, her sad eyes looking a definite direction. The boy could not look at the image of his ex-girlfriend sitting on the floor.
"You have wronged me. Accusing me of a crime I did not commit"
It frightened by the unexpected presence of the young Amelia got up and tried to keep her distance. As he spoke, she looked at the picture with fear. She figured he could kill her too. After all, the place was lonely and could do that.
"You ruined our love!"
He left the tree and walked forward. Stopping at her. Confused, Amelia looked at his black leather jacket and remained silent.
"I really love you"
The suspect insisted.
"Now I'm being investigated. I run the risk of being convicted of a crime I did not commit. And it's your fault! You and your paranoia got me into this mess!"
He looked up, sighed and continued.
"If they condemn me. I get to be up to twenty years in prison"
He looked down and put his hands in the pockets of his leather jacket.
"That could be the end for me"
"If you're so afraid by your sentence is because you're guilty of the crime"
She sneered. Her throat was dry with hatred and anger.
"Sometimes justice is weak and ends incriminating innocent people unjustly. People who do not deserve to pay behind bars for crimes they never committed!"
His voice was gradually increasing.
"Damn!" - He kicked the ground and then down, put his hands in her hair and continued to sigh with fervor. He vented anger. - "Your paranoia destroyed all my life. Destroyed our love!"
He got up and looked into her eyes, struck his breast saying.
"I have no guilt if I was born with blue eyes!"
His face was red and looked around.
"Neither is it my fault if the murderer of your father also has blue eyes! Damn!"
The boy looked down and held his tears.
"You were unfair to me! Wrongful with our love! Amelia you destroyed everything!
Tired of hearing, she began to speak louder than him.
"If you're not guilty, then why you gave me a porcelain doll? How you had guessed that I loved porcelain dolls?"
He shook his head.
"The murderer of my father knew that I liked porcelain dolls. Because the night my father died, I was holding a doll in my arms. It was the last gift my father gave me before he died"
Not satisfied, she kept accusing him of anger too.
"Not only are your blue eyes Juan incriminating you. You're in love with firearms and who assures me you did not kill my father with that gun that hung on the wall of your room?"
"It is not anymore" - he said quickly. - "The police took it from my home this morning"
He lowered his head and Amelia too.
"And why should I confess that you had done something in your life that you regret until your
