    She blinked at the slowing rain and stared at him. “What?”
    “I love you. From the moment I met you, I knew I had to have you. Then, my heart told me you were the only woman for me.”
    She twined her arms behind his head. “I love you, Knox. I didn’t think I could fall for a human, but I did. It was scary,” she finally admitted. “I didn’t want to hurt you, or see you hurt.”
    “I’m not weak anymore.”
    She grazed her nails over his beard. “I know, but that won’t stop me from worrying.”
    “I don’t see why you would worry. I’m never leaving your side.” He propelled back, almost out of her completely and drove back in with heart-stopping speed.
    She moaned. Legs curled around his hips, she pushed him deeper into her with the heels of her feet. “God, I love you. Even if I don’t get the whole DC and Marvel thing.”
    He chuckled and kissed her lips. “I’ll teach you. And then I’ll teach our kids.”
    She whimpered and smoothed her hands over his large shoulders. “I like the sound of that.”
    “Good, now let’s see about giving us some cubs,” he said and went back to making her forget her name.

    “I am amazed,” Nick laughed. Knox followed Nick’s vision to the other side of his office where Scarlett had their son, Colin, on a blanket staring at the fire.
    “What are you amazed about?” God, he loved his wife and kid, or kids seeing they had another on the way.
    “You managed to tame my wild sister. It still boggles the mind,” he mumbled and shook his head. “I really thought she wouldn’t admit to her feelings for you.”
    Knox watched happiness spread over his mate’s features when their son glanced at her with his big blue eyes. She raised her gaze from Colin and met Knox’s.
    “I love you,” he whispered into her mind.
    “I know, my dragon, eagle, wolf mate. I love you, too.”
    “I wouldn’t have let her ignore her feelings.” Knox grinned. “I wanted her just as much as she wanted me.”
    Nick nodded. “Thank god, you were more stubborn than she was.”
    Knox winked at his mate. She shook her head and turned back to their son. She might not want to admit it, but the night of the party he’d already claimed her, and he’d still been human.
