She and the janitor were the only two people
left in the building. She nodded to him as she turned the corner
and he swung the mop around on the floor. Lucky for her everyone in
her department had decided to finish early, which meant she could
work her second job in peace, and best of all, incognito.
    She usually worked from home but her computer had
decided to do strange things and was in the shop for the night.
Jenny knew it was risky but the one at work was her only
alternative because the library had too many prying eyes. She’d
already missed her cyber chat assignment the night before, and if
she missed two in a row they’d fire her and she needed the
cash.
    Jenny saw the note in front of the computer screen
long before she reached her cubicle.
    Shit.
    She’d been caught. She tore the paper away from the
screen and went cold from head to toe. She thought she’d switched
to her screensaver when she’d gone to get her hotdog but obviously
that wasn’t the case.
    Jenny sat down and threw the box containing the nuked
hotdog on her desk. The note was from the head guy, the CEO. She’d
seen the employee handbook. She knew the rules. No using company
time or equipment for outside pursuits.
    Now she was going to lose both jobs. Maybe she could
sweet-talk him into looking the other way.
    She ran her hands through her hair. She hadn’t seen
him…well, not face-to-face, since he’d interviewed her last year.
She almost hadn’t gotten the job because she’d been so tongue-tied.
Not that she was a nervous interviewee but she hadn’t expected him
to be so gorgeous. Six feet plus, broad shoulders, dark hair with a
bit of a wave to it. During her entire interview she’d had an image
of running her fingers through it as he kissed her. And those
eyes. He’d looked straight at her every time he’d asked her a
question. Dark green with touches of hazel. Mesmerizing and they’d
held her spellbound.
    She jumped when her phone rang.
    Who knew she was here working late besides the
janitor and…
    She picked it up.
    “Hello.”
    “Ms. Rasley?”
    She swallowed twice in quick succession.
    It’s him.
    “Yes.”
    “Did you get my note? Obviously you did because
you’re back at your desk.”
    “Yes, and yes, I was just about to head up to your
office.”
    “Good, I’ll be waiting.”
    Jenny looked at her plant, the mug housing her pens,
and the award for employee of the month. Maybe she should take them
with her because she’d be fired and he might not let her come back
to her desk. No, surely he’d let her get her things. She turned off
the computer. Sexy Beast would have to find some other girl to chat
to tonight. She stood and grabbed her raincoat and put it on before
slinging her purse over her shoulder.
    She nodded to the janitor again as she tiptoed over
the wet floor to reach the elevator.
    Her stomach churned as she watched the floors flash
by. Jobs were hard to come by these days, and who was to say if
she’d find another one she liked as much as this one. She’d do
anything to keep it. She’d made up her mind that whatever he asked
her to do to make up for this failure to follow the rules she’d do
rather than be fired.
    Jenny stepped out of the elevator.
    That was it.
    Sexual favors . No man could resist them.
    He obviously thought she was some type of naughty
lady who lured men into chat rooms on the Internet. She’d offer him
the chance for her to do anything he wanted.
    She glanced at herself in the mirror in the hallway
that led to his office. It wouldn’t be too bad. After all, he was
handsome and she’d had a crush on him since they met. Plus, she’d
heard rumors circulating around the company that he liked the
ladies and the ladies liked him. Plus, he knew how to please
them.
    Jenny pushed a strand of hair away from her eyes. She
hadn’t had sex in months so maybe it would be win-win all
around.
    She walked to his door and knocked on it.
