with his index finger he tilted her eyes to his and lowered his lips to hers. His kiss was so feather light that if she had closed her eyes she would have doubted that it had happened at all.
She pulled back and looked into his flaming red eyes; her heart warmed knowing he was no longer hiding himself from her. When his eyes were dark, he was hard to read, but when they were their natural flaming red it was as though she could see his emotions in them and currently she saw respect, admiration and affection and it warmed her heart to know she was breaking through the exterior and getting to know who he really was.
Djinn, Infrit, human... it didn't matter to her; he was a man before anything else. He was a man to whom she owed so much and who made her feel things she hadn't felt in such a long time. How could she even have known that such pleasure, such attraction and affection could have existed?
Her life was now just beginning, because of him.

Chapter 8
As Tony finished preparing supper he tried to remember if he'd forgotten anything.
Today was the final day of their week long deal; at midnight that night Jeffrey would awaken from his coma, happy, healthy and eager to come home.
As Tony saw it, Clarissa would have her hands full with her son for the next while so, although he hated the thought, he planned on making himself scarce for a while. Maybe for good; he hadn't decided. The deal had been that she was to be his for the remainder of her lifetime, but he knew that wasn't reasonable.
She deserved to have a human man in her life so the chances were tonight would be their final goodbye and he wanted it to be special. Human women seemed to enjoy flowers, soft music and wine. He had a mental list that he'd been crossing off as he went along and as he heard her car drive up to the house he was confident she'd be pleased.
Opening the oven he pulled out the turkey and placed it onto the countertop. The sweet, delicious aroma rose up to assault his nose, just as the front door opened.
    "Tony, you home?"
He smiled at the sound of her voice, so soft and seductive. Grabbing the bouquet of roses he made his way to the foyer.

The house smelled amazing and Clarissa found her stomach grumbling in response.
She'd left the hospital early today, knowing that she'd be seeing Jeffrey awake and well in the morning. One thing was disturbing her though. The previous night, as she slept wrapped up in Tony's strong embrace she was bombarded with dreams of him saying goodbye and not returning. It seemed preposterous considering their deal, but maybe he was getting bored of her? Maybe he really only wanted her for the week.

"Tony?" Shrugging off her jacket, she hung it up in the closet and when she turned she found him standing before her a huge bouquet of red roses in his hand.
Hmmm, well, this is new... Their usual routine was her getting home to a waiting Tony, expecting her to strip so they could begin their nightly activities. But tonight -tonight, he was throwing her for a loop.
Accepting the flowers she brought them to her nose, closed her eyes and inhaled their sweet fragrance. She sighed as she breathed out and looked over at him. He was even dressed differently. Tonight he looked as though he had stepped off the cover of 'GQ
Magazine'. His black, finely tailored suit screamed class and sophistication. It was different to his usual rugged, dangerous appearance, but she liked it.
She looked down at her own appearance, sporting faded blue jeans and a t-shirt and blushed feeling severely underdressed, despite them standing in her foyer with dinner presumably waiting in the kitchen for them.
She cocked her head and smiled up at him. "Thank you. But, what is with all this?"
Taking her hand in his, he kissed her palm and then led her into the kitchen. "I thought I would do something special for you tonight." Stopping at the doorway to the kitchen he turned to her and smiled. "And you look stunning, Clarissa."
