A Summer Day (Summer Dream Book 2)
Chapter 1
“So, what happened after I left the beach last Saturday?” Kat asked, picking up the rest of her sandwich.
Lillah munched on another forkful of salad, taking her time before she answered her friend.
“You mean, after you embarrassed me in front of those men?” Lillah gave Kat a mock frown.
“After I introduced you to a couple of hot guys so they could keep you company after I had to go,” Kat said, swallowing the rest of her coffee in one gulp. “Come on. Don’t tell me you didn’t hang out with them.”
“Well,” Lillah said. “One of them left right after you did.”
    “And?” Kat asked.
Lillah paused, drawing the moment out. “And, I got to know the other guy, Ty. The blond one, remember? You know, he could have turned out to be a creep. I can’t believe you did that.”
Kat shook her head and smirked. “Oh, I remember him. But he wasn’t a creep, was he?”
Lillah took a sip of her water. “No. He was cool. We hung out at the beach for awhile, and then we went for dinner.”
“That’s great,” Kat said. “So are you going to see him again?”
“He lives with Carson, the other guy who was at the beach with him,” Lillah said. “They’re a couple.”
Lillah knew the look in Kat’s eye. It meant she was about to press Lillah for more details, but before she started, her phone buzzed loudly.
Lillah had to hope the call would take Kat’s mind off of her, because there was a lot more to the story than she had revealed so far. And she had no intention of telling her friend what else had happened between her and Ty. And his boyfriend.
    At least, not yet.
Kat would think she was exaggerating. Or dreaming. Lillah could hardly believe it herself. The night had ended with her having a threesome with the two men, and it was the wildest thing she had ever done.
No way would Kat believe that Lillah had sex with two strangers at the same time. Of the two of them, Kat was the one who was far more likely to do something like that, and Lillah was certain she hadn’t. Kat never spared her the details of her sex life.
“Damn it,” Kat said, ending the call and stuffing her phone back into her overflowing bag. “I didn’t know it was so late. I have to get back.”
“I got this,” Lillah told her, pulling out her wallet, and Kat leaned down to hug her goodbye. “Talk to you soon, Lil.”
Lillah checked the time and waved the waiter over, hurrying to finish her lunch so she could get back to the office.
The rest of the afternoon passed by in a blur as she raced to get the last section of the contract ready to send off to the lawyers. If she didn’t get it done today, she would have to work over the weekend and that was something that she had been doing far too much of lately.
Lillah had even ended up doing some work after she got home from Ty’s place on Sunday night. It was the last thing she wanted to do, but she couldn’t put it off.
She should have been basking in the aftermath of all the great sex she had, not curling up with paperwork. Even as she sat down and reluctantly opened the most pressing file, she knew this had to stop.
So starting this week, Lillah was determined to make some changes. Work-life balance. Yes. That was supposed to be a good thing. Surely she could manage it. And now, she had the first test of her resolve. This weekend, she would make sure all of her time was her own. For once.
Determined to get through what she needed to before leaving today, things were actually looking good when her phone buzzed with a text. Glancing at it quickly without planning to answer, Lillah paused when she saw it was from Ty.

Want to come over for a swim tomorrow?

Every part of her was eager to say yes, but she hesitated to reply. Ty had texted a couple times since they met last weekend, but this was the first time he had suggested getting together.
Memories of the last time she was in their pool made her smile. Ty and Carson had started
