to get.
“Well, whoever the lucky lady is, she’s in for a treat!” I said with mock cheeriness.
    “Regina—”
I cut him off. “You know, I am really tired. And we have to wake up in five hours. Time for bed, Virgin-Boy.”
I flipped to my side, turned off the bedside light, and squeezed the pillow with all my might.
He said he was willing to fool around. Some perverse part of me wanted to see how far I could get him to go.
Deep down, I knew this was a game to him. A way to sow his wild oats. When it came to oat sowing, Cole Townsend was overdue. But the Cole Townsends of the world did not belong with a girl like me. I could play this game, and have some fun.
But it would never be real.

Chapter Six

Five am comes really early in the morning. After burrowing under the pillows for an extra twenty minutes, Cole had to drag me out of bed. He had already shaved and showered, smelling fresh, clean and manly.
He made me make him breakfast.
“You’re chipper,” I muttered, watching him eat.
“I’ve been up a while. I went for a run.”
“You were running? Why? Was a big dog chasing you?”
He didn’t laugh. “I take it you don’t exercise.”
“I didn’t get these curves from just sitting on my ass. Oh, wait, yes I did.”
“Won’t be doing much of that anymore.” He rose to leave. “Do you have your schedule?”
“Yes. I’m oiling all the floggers today, and polishing the torture rack.”
“I don’t have either of those…yet. I’ll be gone till late afternoon today, so behave. Or else.”
A little thrill went through me. “Or else what?” I shouted after him.
“Or else I’ll add a morning run to your schedule.” He crooked a finger at me and I followed him to the bedroom, complaining all the way.
“Cole, I can’t go running. They don’t make sports bras in my size. My boobs will bounce up and hit me in the face. Probably knock me out, or give me a black eye or something.”
Cole stopped at the foot of the bed. He snapped his fingers and pointed to a spot on the floor in front of him.
I went, kvetching all the way. As soon as I got close, he reached out and pulled me across his lap. Three hard slaps on my rear penetrated through my pajamas.
“That’s for getting yourself off yesterday. From now on, I’m the one that gives you orgasms.”
I waited until he turned his back to stick my tongue out at him. He returned with the maid costume.
    “No, not that again—”
    “Regina.”
    “Fine.”
“I’m headed out now. Be good.” He kissed the side of my head and a little thrill went through me, even as I stood there gritting my teeth. “If you touch yourself when I’m gone, I will get a belt for you.”
    “A belt?”
He pulled out his phone and showed me a picture of a metal chastity belt. The fact that he had a picture ready and waiting told me he still had a whole kinky checklist to work through.
The thought made me kinda excited.
“You better delete that before going to work. What if someone sees it?”
He chuckled. “You better worry about the pictures I have of you on my phone.”
“Cole! That’s blackmail,” I whined, as if everything he’d done so far was above board.
“Will it work to get you to behave?
    “Maybe.”
He waggled a finger. “I need all the help I can get with you.”
“Fine,” I muttered. “It’s your reputation. I’ve got nothing to lose.”
He frowned. “What do you mean by that?”
“Exactly what I said. You’re sheriff, and I’m a college dropout who just lost the only decent job she was likely to get. Stealing and selling pot are my only options.”
    He just shook his head.
Silly me, I didn’t see the storm cloud building in his expression. I went on talking, “If you think about it, the best option for me would be turning tricks.”
His face hardened into something scary. “That’s not gonna happen. Regina,” he snapped, when I turned away. “Get over here.”
I went to him, feeling like a student
