would be back soon to check on her, before putting his last bag into Ace's car.  He could see his grandmother’s client pulling into the garage as he was pulling away.  Eli smiled, he knew his grandmother knew the exact second her client was going to arrive, and that's why she rushed them the last few moments they were in the house.  It was just one thing he didn’t like about her powers, well, sometimes.
After arriving at the Alpha’s house, Eli helped Jadelyn off the bike before heading to Ace’s car to unload his clothes and other personal items out of the car.
While Eli and Ace were unloading the car, Jadelyn and Chelsea headed to Jadelyn’s room to make room for Eli’s things.  Alpha Baron was exiting the house as Jadelyn and Chelsea was entering.
Baron pulled Jadelyn into a hug and smiled.  All he ever wanted was to see his daughter genuinely happy again.  He always knew Jadelyn wouldn’t be happy until Eli came back home, even if she didn’t know it.  Being the Alpha gave him the privilege of knowing who should mate to whom.  Baron always knew Eli would be the one to help Jadelyn fully accept who she was without second-guessing herself because of her latency.
“I am going to help Eli and Ace unload Ace's car,” Baron said when he released Jadelyn from his hold.  The only downside he had with Jadelyn mating was having to let go of her.  The upside was having someone else in the house to protect Jadelyn from the residents on the Isle who wanted to harm her.  Baron knew Eli would die protecting Jadelyn if he had to, even if they were just friends instead of mates.
Jadelyn kissed her father on the cheek and watched him head down the driveway where Ace’s car was.  She was truly happy now.  All she wanted was for her father to be as happy as he was when she was younger.  As she turned back toward the door, a cool chill ran through her body, it felt as though someone was watching her.  Jadelyn turned her head, scanning her neighborhood for anyone out of place and couldn’t find anything out of the ordinary.  She thought that maybe it was just her imagination as she walked into the house.
Eli tensed up a little when he heard Jadelyn and Baron talking.  Eli didn’t know what to say or do when he saw Baron approaching him and Ace, but he knew this conversation would happen, just not this soon.  Eli and Ace locked eyes before Baron got any closer.
Ace could tell by the direction Eli 's eyes pointed that he wanted him to give them some privacy.  Ace picked up Eli’s bags outside of the car and walked toward the front door.  Baron stopped Ace before he could take another step toward the house.
“No, stay right where you are, I want to talk to the both of you,” Baron said.
Baron held in a chuckle when he noticed Ace and Eli’s eyes were popping out of their heads.  He couldn’t hold it in any longer, the look on their faces did it in for him.  Baron couldn’t stop laughing, especially when Eli and Ace looked at each other with a worried look in their eyes. He bet they thought he was on the verge of losing his mind.  He was laughing so hard tears ran down his eyes. Baron hadn’t had a good laugh like this in years and it felt good.  So good, in fact, he promised himself he would laugh and enjoy life more.
Eli felt as though he was trapped in another reality.  He had no idea what was going on with Baron.  He thought he was going to kill him for mating with his daughter , but instead he was laughing for some reason.  Eli thought maybe he was on the verge of a breakdown and was going to kill him and Ace before he did.  Eli nudged Ace and tilted his head toward the house but before they could take one-step, Baron was blocking his exit.
“Wait , hold on before you head into the house.  I have to talk to both of you.  First, I have to thank you for that laugh.  I haven’t laughed like that in years.  Relax, it’s not as if I am going to kill either of
