his kiss. Her lips slid against his wet
ones as the water fell over them. He tasted good and she opened her mouth to
his.
Steam rose around them. Her breasts slid
over his soapy chest as their bodies entwined under the shower’s spray. Water
drenched her hair and ran in rivulets down her back. It was like being
underneath a waterfall. Warm and tingling…slick and soapy. She writhed against him,
raising one leg to his waist, and gasped when he lifted her from the floor,
drawing both legs around him.
Fiery sensations lashed every nerve ending
when he pressed her back against the glass wall. She tensed against the
coldness. He guided himself into her and all her worries fell away, leaving
only one thought—William. Her heart tugged with a bittersweet feeling. Tears
filled her eyes. She was grateful the water masked the emotions ravaging her.
William’s cock teased her opening and he
thrust it inside her, pulling her against him. He moved in and out, hard and
fast, while supporting them with his legs braced apart. His breath came in deep
grunts, echoing in the tile shower stall.
“My William,” she said and sucked on his
earlobe as he pumped his cock into her. Clasping her hands, he pulled her arms
above her head, pinned to the wall as he fucked her harder.
Fire consumed Randi. Every tender spot
tingled with the raw need to reach that glorious point of hot release. She
cried out as the coiled energy sprang from her groin and blazed up her spine.
He followed, releasing a groan between clenched teeth as he came. Randi draped
her arms over his shoulders, gasping and kissing his neck, his cheek and
finally his lips.

Randi rose from the bed, unable to
sleep—too exhausted. She had to be the most sexually satisfied woman on the
planet. So why couldn’t she sleep? How could she leave those arms that held her
so snuggly? She glanced back at William then closed the door, suddenly
overwhelmed with sadness. Bitter tears burned her eyes. How easily she’d
forgotten over the past weeks…how quickly she’d been reminded by Ellen’s call.
William was not a real man. William didn’t really like the same things she did.
That was just a program she’d designed to interact with her personality. Oh
sure, he had conscious thought, but even her data proved he was still governed
by technology.
    Her happiness shattered and emptiness
rushed in. They had no real relationship. They had some rather shallow
conversations, but he was just a very advanced machine she could turn off any
time she wanted. It was easy. She could end his sleeping mode right now and
shut him down completely. The thought only compounded despair. Tears streamed
down her cheeks.
It was as if William, the man she was
falling in love with, had suddenly died. Love? God, when had she fallen in love
with him? Randi ran her hand through her hair and sat down on the couch. Her
mind was a whirl of thoughts. She knew what William was and yet emotionally she
didn’t care. But she’d been forced to care by Ellen’s phone call.
How could she sit by while Ellen indulged
in a demonstration of William’s adept lovemaking? She swiped the tears from her
eyes and sniffed. Ellen was anxious and concerned, but once she met William,
her boss would be ecstatic. The thought of William fucking Ellen made her shake
with anger. Rage burst open and her hands tightened into hard fists.
“I’m so screwed,” she whispered and rubbed
her burning eyes. “I have to stay focused on the project. That’s what I must
do. He isn’t real. It’s all fantasy. William is a sex replacement, nothing
more.” Even as she spoke the words, Randi’s heart rejected them.
She sat up the rest of the night trying to
convince herself that the soul she occasionally glimpsed in his eyes was
nothing more than her brilliant programming. Instead of reassuring, the thought
crushed her spirit. Randi sat with her legs bent, resting her chin on her
knees. How had she become so attached to him? She
