The Secret of the Ancient Alchemist
forces.”
    “ You
found proof of a perfect mind?” Hart was beyond himself.
    “ I did,
but it’s not sufficient for you to make claims, like your claim
that Man’s journey is to acquire one.”
    “ You’re
sure of your interpretation of the Quipu data?” Hart
questioned.
    “ I’m
sure.”
    “ That’s
amazing. Inti came from another time and into our realm. I wish we
could find it, Olsen.”
    “ It’s
elusive.”
    “ It’s
time we started searching for the text.”
    “ You
really expect to find it?”
    Hart
remembered Aristotle’s words: Do some searching. You’ll find an explanation for
everything in an ancient text . If only Aristotle had said which, he bemoaned.
    “ I
do.”
    “ Ok.”
    “ Our
realm is connected to others, I believe. Enoch traverse the
heavens. So, how did he? I want answers as to who we are and where
we’re headed. The universe is in us. It has to be.”
    Olsen pressed
his foot on the accelerator hoping to kill time. He was getting
hungry. Still, he was sure the obstinate Hart was being overly
ambitious.
    “ You want
to change the world, Tom? Is that it?”
    “ No, but
humans can be all they want to be.”
    “ You’re a
long way from proving that.”
    “ We’re
starting to understand the universe better.”
    “ We
are?”
    Hart sighed.
Olsen truly doubted his inner realm.
    “ We
should stop thinking of the universe as something external rather
than something internal,” he argued. “And, what about alien
civilizations? You believe they exist, don’t you? According to
Hindu philosophy, space travel occurs faster than the speed of a
thought. We need to think of it at a sub-atomic level. We need to
think of the universe in terms of light.”
    Olsen glanced
at a signpost. “We’re almost there. God, I’m starved. Maybe you’re
right, and maybe, just maybe, the Inca data will help us understand
things better. We still need to find this ancient text, Tom, and I
doubt if we ever will.”
    Hart sighed
again.

Chapter 24

    Twenty minutes
later, they spotted an empty table at the end of a popular
restaurant called The English Manor. The scent of steaks wafted
through the air as they moved to it and sat. Olsen spoke to a
waiter who quickly appeared.
    “ Two
steak lunches and two beers, please.” With a nod, the waiter walked
away. He turned to Hart. “The data I deciphered really does
fascinate me, Tom.”
    “ Tell
me.” Hart was waiting for Olsen to speak but the Dane gazed about
much to his annoyance. Finally, he did.
    “ Bentley
discovered five Quipus at Caral and at Colca Canyon near the
Arequipa River. Apart from their data, they also carried
information about the deity, Inti .”
    “ So, who
was he exactly?”
    “ The sun
god and son of Viracocha, the Inca God.”
    Hart
straightened up. A kaleidoscope of colour was buzzing inside his
eyes. “Did the Inca prophecy come from him?”
    “ It
did.”
    “ Where
did Inti come
from?”
    “ I found
nothing of his lineage. He appeared over Lake Titicaca, sent by his
father to teach the people of goodness and kindness.”
    “ Wow! It
amazes me to think that Inti came right into our realm in much the same way that Ahura
Mazda did, as other gods did. Did he look human?”
    “ He did.
By the way, Bentley believes some sort of equivalent Christian
state existed among the Inca before the Spanish came. The
difference is that Inca belief emphasizes the cosmos, sky and sun
gods. There’s talk of space brothers. A city is supposed to be
buried beneath Lake Titicaca.”
    “ And, you
got a grasp of all that from deciphering the Quipus?”
    “ Yes. I
used a ten-bit binary code. I had to work out the meaning of
coloured threads. Blue meant sky, green earth, red, fire and so on.
Gold was a fairly common metal in Inca time. The threads were used
for gods. I had to consider the alignment of the knots, type of
knots and size, the length of the vertical and horizontal threads.
I also sent the Inca data to Peter Langley at the
