things so out of character anything could happen.” Daniel smiled at Christian. “She could even inspire him to go looking for lesbians, isn’t that right, Christian?”
“You mention that again, and I’ll hurt you,” Christian snapped. “And before you ask, Steve…don’t.”
“I don’t want to know.” Steve looked at Daniel and laughed. “Yet! But there is always a bright side to bad timing. At least I get to spend a few hours with a hot-looking woman today, although from past experience she doesn’t like me much. I seem to bring out the bitch in her for some reason. She must just react to my Dominant charm.” Steve smiled, pouring another coffee before continuing to eat his breakfast.
“Speaking of hotties, we met our future lifelong love last night.” Christian sipped his coffee. “It was a shame that Daniel scared her away.”
“I didn’t scare her away, she had to leave before her carriage turned into a pumpkin.” Daniel loved the whole Cinderella thing. It showed she had a good sense of humour, which was something she would need to live with them. “And I’m still going to spank her for that smart remark as she left.”
“Okay, give me the condensed version because I got to go.” Steve looked at the brothers inquisitively.
“She is beautiful, cheeky, totally sexy, and perfect for both of us. We invited her to the party, but she had to leave to catch her train home, and when we asked her for a name as she left, she called herself Cinderella. But not all is lost. She is a friend of Miss D, so we have an invite to lunch at Max’s place. We will be formally introduced and then proceed to sweep her off her feet.”
“Cool, as long as she meets with my approval, you can both live happily ever after with your fairy-tale princess.” Daniel saw Steve wave as his friend walked away. The distant laugh emitted from Steve left Daniel in no doubt that he had heard the unified statement of “bite me” spoken by Christian and himself in response to Steve’s parting words.
Daniel left the house with a very tired Christian not long after Steve. They finished breakfast, cleaned up their mess, and were on their way home not long after nine. The drive took them a few hours, but once they cleared the city and outer suburb traffic, it was clean sailing down the freeway. The brothers discussed the previous evening’s events, especially Cinderella, or Angel, as Max had referred to her. Daniel made sure he filled Christian in on all the antics he had observed with other Doms. He noted that Christian seemed to reluctantly agree with him that they had made the right move in letting her leave. However, he did make sure he pointed out how lucky they had been that Max actually knew her. Today would be very different if they had no hope of seeing Cinders again.
“I want to redo her bedroom,” Daniel announced. “The colours we chose are all wrong for her. And I don’t like the bedding. She needs something more, something reflective of her beauty and sassy attitude.”
“Roses, I bet she likes roses,” Christian stated. “I don’t know why, I just think she would be so sexy surrounded by rose petals. I know it’s a bit cliché, but that was how I see her…surrounded by roses. Well, at least it was this morning as I wanked over the thought of her.”
Daniel wasn’t surprised at his brother’s admission. After all, he’d done a similar thing after he got home last night, minus the rose petal scenario, of course.
“Ruby tones to highlight the room perhaps,” Daniel stated. “That necklace was definitely a ruby. The depth of colour indicated it wasn’t just a piece of coloured glass or crystal of some kind.”
“We may have picked a girl with expensive taste because she had the bracelet and earrings to match that rock around her neck.” Christian added, “Not that I mind. She can have anything she wants as far as I’m concerned.”
“Within reason,” Daniel added. “I refuse to have a
