point, and you don't understand where I'm at in life.” Todd signaled to the server, who came to his aid much faster this time. This time he only ordered for himself.
“You’re right about that, because I don’t understand. You need to get out of yo’ muthafuckin’ feelings and listen to what I am saying to you. You are acting real motherfuckin’ sprung right now. That must be Sacaria gassing you up, because you don’t talk like that. Damn, is the pussy that good?”
“This is not about Sacaria—” I said as Todd cut me off.
“Yes it is, and you need to wake up the fuck up and check into who she really is. Who da fuck is that girl, and where is she from? Who are her people? Davona? Nigga please. These the same questions we have always asked about anybody we dealt with, ya’ mean.” What about the fact that the only homegirls she has are brand new? Do you mean to tell me, that she don’t have not one A-1, day one in her life. Something is wrong with that situation, nigga! You know what?” Todd sat back in his chair. “It's good and you know I’m your goon for life; I just hope this girl don't make me do something that you will regret,” Todd said, with a look that sent a chill down my back.
    “You trippin—”
“Wait, hold up. Who is this nigga that been looking in our mouth the whole time we been sitting here?” Todd got up from the table as he was talking. “Hey blood! Do you know somebody over here? What the fuck you all in my mouth for?” Todd asked with menace in his tone.
“Nah man, I wasn’t looking in your mouth.”
“Oh, so now I’m making up shit? Every time I look up, you looking at that table. Who da fuck you wit, blood?”
The dude stood up from his chair. “Look, I’m just chilling, enjoying myself with the ladies—” The dude hit the floor with a loud thud. Todd knocked his ass out mid-sentence.
“Get this muthafucka outta here!” Todd hollered.
I gulped down the last of my drink, took a hit off Todd’s blunt and cut out.

Chapter 8
I walked into the house to the smell of good food. “Sacaria; bae is that you, ma?” I crept around the corner, looking from side to side, to make sure it wasn’t Taleena in here on some fatal attraction bs.
“Sacaria!” I yelled when I didn’t see anybody manning the station.
“Yes baby, and why are you yelling?” Sacaria came scooting around the corner, wearing one of my t-shirts.
    “You cooked?” I inquired.
“Yes, I cooked. I wanted to cook something for my man,” Sacaria said, as she went up on her tippy toes and pecked me on the lips. “I want to show you how much I love you.”
“Or hate me,” I said, laughing. “Baby, you never cook.” I wrapped my arms around her waist. “I was only gone for a few hours and you are already trying to poison me?”
“Oh, you got jokes. No, I called your mom and she walked me through it.” Sacaria stirred the mashed potatoes. “I’m cooking some garlic mashed potatoes, steak with blue cheese butter, and asparagus, with some peach cobbler on the side for dessert.”
“You know it won't be as good as my moms though. I can tell you that right now,” I said, with a chuckle.
Sacaria stood there pouting, with her arms folded. “I'm playing baby, you know that I love you,” I said, and then I kissed her lips softly.
My baby has been in here slaving over the stove all day. I have a good girl. Shit, nobody is perfect. I don't understand why my boys can't see that I have a good thing. Sacaria served me a plate. I couldn't wait for her to sit down, before I took a bite of the food. She was chewing to one side as she always did when she had an attitude.
“Oh, so you wasn’t going to wait for me?”
“My bad baby, it just smells so good, I just had to taste it. I am starving. Todd had me on some Hennessy and you know alcohol makes me hungry.” I peeked up from my plate and noticed Sacaria giving me a disapproving look.
“Where was y’all at, one of those trifling
