a part of his family. Maybe here on Zaphin my luck is different. Zaphinians might not be put off by me the way humans are.

Din Zairin looks over and deeply into my eyes before turning back to his brother. The twins start heading out of the kitchen. I hear Din Zairin say something about prelling thieves but I don't catch the rest of what he says.

My heart aches when Din Tairin turns with a frown on his handsome face. He says something to his brother and then his gold and purple gaze lands on me. My heart races. He is so powerful and perfect.

"Bring us some stros, seema. We'll be in the backyard practicing. I want you to keep our glasses full." With that he turns and heads toward the back door.

I blink away the tears that threaten to fall. With sadness weighing me down, I do as ordered. I'm nothing more than a servant to him. One tear escapes. I wipe it away and force myself to be the servant he wants me to be.

Him giving me a place to stay and food to eat should be enough.

    But it's not.

I let out a snort and then head to the backyard. I need to remember my place. I wasn't anybody worth loving on Earth and it looks like I'm in the same sinking boat here on Zaphin.

It has to be my fault. I do something that turns people away. I'm lucky he lets me stay here.

The sound of metal rings through the air as I walk outside and set their drinks on the table. I look over at the twins. They are magnificent. I can't take my eyes off of them. I sink down into a chair and watch them.

The sunbeams seem to glow on their rippling muscles as they fight. The sound of their swords is almost musical. Their muscles bunch and flex as they quickly and skillfully fight one another.

The way they talk to each other makes me long for a family like theirs. I shouldn’t dream of such things, but I do. I want what they have. A loving family bond.

Laughter bursts from Din Zairin when he barely dodges the swing of Din Tairin’s sword. The twins are magnificent to watch so smooth and flowing, powerful and strong.

My heart races when Din Tairin comes over and starts gulping his stros. Sweat glistens his skin. Din Zairin follows closely behind and begins drinking his stros. It’s no mystery why they are so thirsty. They are true warriors in training. I’m lucky to get to watch them.

Din Tairin gives me a smile. Happiness leaps around my heart. I can’t stop the emotion no matter if it’s foolish or not.

“Thank you, seema," Din Tairin says. I love how husky and masculine his voice is.

The sight of his dimples has my clit pulsing and my heart pounding. He has so much power over me. The power to make me forget my place. He makes me forget that I'm nothing more than a servant he’ll one day forget. A blurred part of his youthful past.

"You're welcome. Anything you need." Heat floods my cheeks. Why did I say that? I sound like a lovestruck fool.

Din Zairin finishes his drink and sets his glass on the table. As I pick up their glasses, I hear Din Zairin say, "I'm so glad you're coming in to work tomorrow. With the new criminal activity, it’ll be good to have you back."

Back to work? No, that can’t be. What am I going to do? If he starts leaving the house he could come across a better woman. One who is loved by everyone. One who knows what to say and how to act at all times. One who is naturally adored. One that is the opposite of me.

Tears well in my eyes and a lump forms in my throat. What am I going to do? Here at the house I had him to myself. Out in the real world I'm pretty easily replaceable. He really didn't want me to begin with. He wasn't on that planet to pick up a servant.

The lump in my throat grows larger. Flipping fuck, what am I going to do? I stiffen my spine as the brothers continue talking. Gripping their glasses tightly, I head into the house. I almost make it to the kitchen counter before a tear slips down my cheek. I quickly wipe it
