wish me to help you in rooting out the blood elves, and putting an end to their slaughter."
"We need someone that can see through all of the deception and lies, someone who has the power to defeat these vile monsters." Delilah declared in a shaky voice. "Hetris rewards those who please Him with powers beyond those of any normal elf. According to the old legends, some of the most powerful among them can manipulate one's mind, tricking you into seeing things that aren't truly there. Others can change their appearances as easily as you change your clothes. All are master tricksters, capable of striking in broad daylight without warning, and disappearing just as quickly, leaving only death in their wake." She stared at him with pleading eyes. "Please, we need your help. Will you answer our beloved queen's plea for aid, and come to the Elven Island to help us to root out this insidious evil that threatens to destroy everything that we hold precious?"
Damion frowned. "I'll need some time to consider your request." He told them carefully. "We..."
"Of course we'll help." Raven cut him off quickly. "We could never say no to someone who is truly in need."
"Are you sure that you want to leave Sevria at such a delicate time?" Shirk asked doubtfully. "We're only just beginning to recover from the battle in Sierra. If you were to leave now, we could lose everything we have gained."
"If you refuse our request for aid," Brody started, his expression bleak. "the chances are that we will fall. Thousands of years of tradition will be lost to the world forever, and the blood elves will be free to spread throughout the world, where they would surely begin wreaking havoc."
They all turned to stare at Damion expectantly.
"Well?" Leia asked her father impatiently. "What are we going to do?"
"We're going to help the elves." The huge warrior shrugged. "To sit by and allow their destruction would be unthinkable."
    Shirk groaned.
"What is it, dear one?" Lady Skie asked him in concern.
"Damion and Raven are going to run off to the Elven Island and drop all of their responsibilities into our laps again." The old bandit grumbled sourly. "I still haven't caught up on all of the sleep that I missed the last time that they went gallivanting off to save the world!"
"You can always go with us, Shirk." Leia told him reasonably.
" Us ?" Damion asked, one eyebrow raised questioningly. "You don't think that you're going with us, do you?"
"Of course I'm going with you." The young girl replied with a roll of her eyes. "You didn't think that I would let you leave me behind while you and mother go running off to a tropical island, did you?"
"I'm not sure that is such a good idea." The huge warrior frowned. "I have a feeling that things are going to be very dangerous on the island, and I don't want you getting hurt."
"I agree," Raven nodded, ignoring the scowl of anger her daughter cast in her direction. "I think that you should remain here where we know that you'll be safe."
"You can't just leave me here!" Leia protested, jumping up from her seat with an angry expression. "I want to go with you and help fight the blood elves! Besides, it's my birthday! You can't tell me no on my birthday! It's just... just..." She scowled at her father. "It's just rude!"
Damion shook his head. "Out of the question. Birthday or not, you still have a long way to go with your training. I'm not going to let you place yourself into danger when you do not yet have full control over your powers."
    "But..."
"No buts." The huge warrior told her firmly. "You are going to stay here and help Aunt Skie and Shirk look after things until we return. It's time that you learned what it takes to run the city. One day the responsibility of protecting the people of Sevria will fall on your shoulders. They will depend on you, and you need to be prepared when that day finally comes."
"Will you be taking anyone along with you?" Lady Skie asked curiously.
    "Taking who where?" Sly inquired,
