"Then let him come in."

Chapter 9
“ What? Angel, we can’t just...”
Before she could finish the sentence the bedroom door opened and Jaxon walked in. She was so shocked that she didn’t even think about pulling the sheet off the bed to cover herself.
At first, Jaxon only saw her nude body. A salacious grin spread over his mouth as he took a step towards her. Then he spotted Angel standing in the middle of the room, shirtless and wearing a pair of unbuttoned jeans.
Jax stopped in his tracks, stunned. “What tha...” His accusing gaze fell on Nikki. “What   the fuck is going on?"
Angel smirked, walking over to Nikki. "Isn't it obvious?" He pulled the sheet off the bed and handed it to Nikki then stepped in front of her to shield her from Jaxon.
“You son of a bitch!” Jaxon took a step towards Angel with his hands balled into fists but stopped abruptly.
Angel didn’t move. He looked at Jax, contempt clearly written on his face, and lifted his hands, palms up.
“What…?” His voice was quiet and the smile on his face taunted Jaxon when he remained where he was. A dark crimson stain covered Jaxon's face as he looked at Angel with an expression of pure hatred.
“A-Angel…please.” Nikki whispered. She stepped around him and looked at Jax. “I don't know how you got into my room, but…"
"Is that all you can say! What are you doing with him, Nikki?"
Nikki raised her chin. "I don't owe you any explanations."
"The hell you don't!" Then as if a thought just occurred to him, his eyes shot back to Angel. “And what are you even doing here? I just saw you earlier today. You acted like you didn’t know where she was, you son of a bitch.”
Angel’s body tensed. “You need to watch your mouth.” His voice was calm but laced with underlying steel. Nikki heard the dangerous undertones in his voice, but apparently Jax didn’t.
"Fuck you!" He glared at Nikki, his jealousy evident. "And you too, you little slut!"
Angel rushed past Nikki, but she pulled him back, using her entire body weight to at least make him pause.
        “Angel, please don't!”
“Call her another name. One more." Angel's nostrils flared and his chest heaved from the effort it took to stop from tearing Jax's head off his body. He never raised his voice, but Nikki could tell he was holding on to his temper by a thin thread that was unraveling quickly. “Get out. You can either go on your own or I can help...and I’m more than willing to do that."
Jax laughed in disbelief. “Oh, so you’re going to throw me out? You’re going to throw me out?!”
Nikki quickly stepped in front of Angel, whose eyes were glaring poisonous daggers. “Angel, please, please, please let me handle this. I want you to go. Everything’s under control here."
“I’m not going anywhere.” Angel’s tone let her know that wasn't an option.
Jax took another step towards them and gave Angel a condescending smile. “You just had to come and test her out for yourself, huh?”
The muscle in Angel’s jaw twitched as his eyes narrowed. He was trying to figure out what part of Jax's body he was going to break first.
Jax looked at Nikki. “Did you know he and I had lunch earlier today?”
        Nikki frowned. “So.”
Jaxon's smile widened as he eagerly delivered the rest of his news. “Guess who the topic of conversation was?”
Nikki remained silent, but her frown deepened.
“Fine. I’ll tell you. It was you!” His top lip curled up and his eyes took on an ugly gleam as he looked her up and down. “That’s right. I told him I bet your pussy was made of gold.” Jax's laugh was not a pleasant one. “I guess he decided to come here
