her neck, lips lingering as he clamped his teeth down on her flesh, it finally pushed her to where she needed to be.
She screamed, lost in her orgasm, uncaring if someone heard them. Her vision blurred and she went limp.
Two more thrusts and Chase joined in falling over the edge of completion.
It took several minutes for her to shake her head and gain control of her mind.
The water had begun to cool while Chase had pressed her to the wall, his weight heavy against her as he stood with his head bowed.
Kissing the side of his neck gained his attention, though. He stepped back, carefully lowering her legs, but kept a hand around her waist.
    Their gazes locked.
He smiled sheepishly. “Are you okay?”
Nodding, she had to laugh. “More than okay. That was…incredible.”
Relief flashed over his features, concerning her. She palmed the side of his face then kissed his softly. “Wonderful,” she murmured.
“I don’t usually lose control like that. Are you sure I didn’t hurt you?”
Rolling her shoulders, she could tell she would have a few more aches due to their lovemaking however, she welcomed this sort of discomfort. “I’m positive.”
“Let’s rinse off and get out before the water turns frigid,” he suggested.
As they washed off the sweat, soap and cum, Kayla could not stop smiling. She was proud that she’d made the normally careful Beta lose some of his restraint.
After she shut the water off, Kayla dried herself with a soft towel, keeping her attention on Chase. He kept running his gaze over her as well.
When he started to get hard again, she ran her fingers over his cock.
He hissed and thrust against her.
The loud pounding on the bathroom door startled them apart.
“Shit,” he cursed, as he wrapped the towel around his waist.
Kayla covered up as well. Chase flung the door open with a growl.
“Sorry to interrupt but you don’t have time to go at it again,” Alex told them from the doorway.
Chase blocked Alex’s view of her. Regardless, she flushed, knowing her face would be bright red. If Alex had been in the bedroom while their shower had been taking place, there was no way he hadn’t heard them.
“What’s going on?” Chase asked, not responding to Alex’s earlier comment.
“Jacob found something. We need to go look,” Alex informed him.
Chase stiffened his shoulders. “Give us ten minutes.”
    “Sure.”

Chapter Seven

Chase kneeled, examining the tracks from the canyon that led up to the edge of the Wilson ranch. “The guards didn’t see anyone?” he asked Jacob.
“No, we had two stationed close by and they never caught the scent of anyone.”
The way Jacob worded his reply had Chase’s stomach knotting. Chase stood slowly, his gaze finding Angel in the small group that had assembled.
Angel and her brother were the only two people that Chase had not been able to smell. They had no scent whatsoever. If their target had the same ability, there had to be a connection.
Since neither Salvatore would give them more information about why they were unique, he was suspicious of what they were really getting into.
Stepping away from the footprints, Chase tilted his head toward his brother. They met a little distance away from the others. With the superior hearing of the others, Chase still couldn’t say what he wanted but he needed Max to know his concerns.
“I know,” Max said as he pressed his shoulder against Chase’s.
Nodding his understanding, Chase would have to leave the investigation into the Salvatore’s background to his brother. “What do you think about this?”
“Strange, they left no tracks at Marcus’ house. Pretty sloppy to do so now.”
    “It’s a trap,” Chase agreed.
“I think so. Alpha Shawn had already left to pick up Marcus. We can wait for him.”
He shook his head. “I think I should take a small group and see what we can discover. We don’t have to confront them but if we can get a better idea where they are,
