Chapter 2
After a taxi from the airport, Katherine and Jacqueline soon arrive
in the beautiful resort in the Bahamas that they would be staying
in for the next two weeks. After checking out their spacious room
with an ocean view and a cool breeze running through it, the girls
tried to decide what their next move would be.
"Let's hit the beach baby girl." Jacqueline
says, pulling out her suitcase searching for some appropriate
attire.
Katherine giggles as they both get changed
into something with a little less material to it. Jacqueline puts
on a red hot bikini that shows off her luscious curves perfectly,
her long wavy locks flow over her shoulders. Katherine nervously
steps into a black one piece that looks more apt in the local
leisure center rather than the beautiful Bahamas beaches.
"You’re kidding me right?" Jacqueline asks
when Katherine tries the bathing suit on.
Katherine shakes her head and watches as her
friend rummages around her suitcase.
"Here, try this." she says, handing her what
appears to be a white two piece. "I bought this when I lost weight
on my heartbreak diet last year so it should fit you fine."
Katherine knows that arguing with the feisty
Jacqueline is not an option so she proceeds to do as she is told.
The white bikini is not as fitted around the breasts as they should
be but there is no doubt that her slender body looks great in it
nonetheless.
"Perfect!" Jacqueline says, as they slip some
summer outfits over their swimwear and head for the beach.
A short while later, they are relaxing on sun
loungers and surveying the people in the beach around them.
"I swear to god, there is not one hot single
man on this beach" Jacqueline sighs to Katherine.
Katherine looks around at the canoodling
couples and older leering men before agreeing with her friend.
"When did being in a relationship ever stop a man for playing
around? Anyway, I thought we came here to have a good time, not for
a holiday romance."
"Well...we did, but some sweet holiday loving
would be a bonus."
Katherine laughs as she thinks to herself
that she would not even know what to do if another man paid her
attention let alone between the sheets. Tony was all she knew and
the only person that she ever made love to. She silently scolded
herself for thinking about him again. By seeing all the happy
couples around her, it was hard not to think of love and sex.
"I think we need some pampering." Jacqueline
finally said before pointing to a makeshift building at the top of
the beach, labeled "massages."
After some gentle persuasion, Katherine
agreed to the plan and they emerged from their massages some time
later, feeling refreshed - especially Jacqueline.
"You really don't mind?" She grinned.
Katherine lied, "Of course not, you enjoy
yourself. I'll relax in the hotel room later. Juan seems nice."
"Nice, NICE? Forget nice, did you see those
god damn abs?"
Jacqueline had got on very well with the man
who was doing her massage and had scored a date with him later on
in the day. Katherine tried to hide her envy as they flirted
intently.
As Jacqueline tried on many sexy outfits for
her date, she finally settled on a yellow mini dress that slipped
over her body perfectly and showed off her bronzed skin.
She squealed in excitement "I had a feeling
this vacation was going to be amazing! I feel bad leaving you
though."
"It's fine honestly. You be safe ok?"
Jacqueline hugged Katherine tightly, "I will.
I love you, you’re the best...don't wait up." she winked as she
left the hotel room to meet the dark, handsome stranger.
Once the door closed, Katherine jumped onto
the bed - burying her face deep into the pillow and began to weep.
She wanted so desperately to be carefree like her friend, she
wanted to have fun and meet men but one thing was holding her
back.
Just a month or so earlier she thought she
had found the one and now she was single and lonely. Yearning for a
man’s
