slightly upset.

Kurt pulled her close and said, "Calm down honey. First of all, I know you don't own this land. I do. I bought it last week from your neighbor, Mr. Johnston. I paid him a visit and asked him if he wanted to sell it, and he did after I explained why I wanted it. Then I borrowed a couple of his driving horses to haul the lumber out here to do the building to the lean-to and build the platform for the bed and the tack box outside."

"His son, Andy, helped me with it and he drove the horse and cart to bring out the mattress, furniture and bedding for me. I brought the dishes, lamp, candles and foodstuffs out here a couple of days ago while you were at work. I had them in the trunk of my car and Andy met me at your house that day with the horse and cart. We loaded everything into the cart and brought them out here. And if you look in the drawers of the dresser, you will find clothes for both of us, and in the trunk there, is some towels, soap, shampoo and other necessities we might need."

Jessica opened the drawers and saw their clothes, then opened the lid of the trunk and saw the towels and stuff Kurt mentioned. She also saw a shoe box with a ribbon tied on it. She looked at Kurt and he said, "Take it out and open it, honey." She took out the box and closed the lid on the trunk. She carried the box to the table, sat on one of the chairs and untied the ribbon. She lifted the top off and put it on the table, then moved aside the tissue paper. She took out a large envelope, a smaller envelope, a small box and a pocket pack of tissues. She was wondering about the tissues.

Kurt told her to open the bigger envelope first. She did so, removing some papers and reading them. She looked at Kurt and said, "Mine?? This land is mine? Ohhh Kurt! Thank you so much, darling!" She was crying happy tears as she leapt up and hugged him tightly.
"Hey now, baby! No crying allowed until after you look in the other envelope and the little box that are sitting on the table!" he said as he handed her a tissue.

"Now I know why you had the tissues in there, baby." she said with a laugh as she took the offered tissue and sat back down in the chair, drying her eyes and cheeks of the salty tears.

Jessica picked up the other envelope and opened it. It was a birthday card from Kurt. "Thank you Kurt. It's a lovely card., and I will treasure it always." she said.

"Open the box now baby." he said to her as he sat on the other chair beside her. She untied the little ribbon that was tied around the small box. Her hands were shaking a lot, so Kurt took the box from her and opened it as he got down on one knee. Jessica burst into tears again when she saw the ring nestled in a pillow of black velvet. "Jessica, my true love, I have waited too many years to find a woman who is as kind, loving, beautiful, sexy and spontaneous as you are. I believe that I have found my soulmate in you, honey. I want to spend the rest of my life with you, baby. What I'm trying to say is: Jessica Marie Collins, would you do me the honor of becoming my beautiful bride in holy matrimony?" he asked her.

Jessica sniffed and wiped her eyes again, "Kurt, are you asking me to marry you?"

"Yes baby, I am." he replied.

Without even thinking about it, Jessica threw her arms around him, kissed him and said, "Yes Kurt, Yes! A million times, yes! I will marry you!" Kurt grinned a huge smile and slipped the diamond and amethyst ring onto her finger, then kissed her deeply, a passionate kiss full of desire and love. Jessica kissed him back with so much passion and love that she thought for sure that her heart would burst from sheer joy and happiness. She started tugging at his shirt and pulled it off of him, then she unbuckled his belt as she kissed his chest.

"Whoa now, baby! Slow down!" Kurt told her, "We have all weekend, baby! No need to hurry!" She stopped and looked up at him.

"All weekend, Kurt? But how? There's no
