rolled his eyes. “I’ll have you know the Condors group is debonair, classy, refined.”
    “Wait what?” Julie asked, breaking into giggles. “Wasn’t it you who told me that for April Fools' Day, you guys super glued a bunch of Patriots bobble heads on Coach’s desk.”
    Logan laughed and shook his head. “Not me. I’m the new guy in the organization. I’m an angel.”
    “Yeah, sure,” Dara said. “You were an angel like never.” She looked over at the kids, now splashing in a wading pool. “We should feed the little ones. What are we making tonight?”
    “Pasta. Logan’s making it. We have meatballs too. My mom made them and they are incredible.”
    “See, Dara, I can be tamed. I even cook.”
    “Sometimes. Badly,” Julie teased and when Logan reached out to swat her, Julie took his hand and let him bring her to her feet. “No, seriously, Dara, he’s cooking more and more. I like it.”
    “Me too,” Logan agreed.
    “I also love what a romantic sap your brother is.”
    “Oh, what did he do now?”
    “Extra flowers this week to celebrate our one year anniversary of reuniting. The place is starting to look like a greenhouse. Just as one arrangement starts to fade, another one shows up like magic.”
    Logan shrugged, but he was blushing. “Sometimes you need to make sure you let your love know she’s appreciated. And loved.”
    “She knows,” Julie replied, snuggling in. This was perfect. Logan was perfect.
    They were perfect together.
