    “Well for starters she got a job, a new man, and found her independence.”
    “How did that make Viper happy?” she asked suspiciously.
    “Brick adores Bianca. Between him and Viper they’ve found a way to balance all of their needs.” He smiled happily. “Bianca just had a baby girl a few weeks ago. They’re not even sure who the father is, and to be honest I don’t think any of them cares.”
    “She has two men bossing her around? That was her answer to not being happy with Viper?”
    Malcolm laughed softly. “I suppose the short version doesn’t really do the relationship justice, but I promise you, all three of them are very happy.” He nodded his thanks as she handed him a cup of coffee. “The point is that as a trio they choose how much of their lifestyle is based on Dom-sub rules and how much isn’t. I doubt that it’s easy to maintain, but then whose relationship ever is? As adults we’re constantly growing and adapting to the changes in our lives. Our relationships need to grow and change, too.”
    “That makes sense,” she said as regret that she’d given up on their marriage so quickly swirled through her. “I’m sorry I didn’t give you a chance to say all of this before I left.”
    “To be really honest I doubt I could have at the time. I’d only just discovered the BDSM lifestyle. Back then I didn’t really understand it either.”
    “And now you do?”
    He laughed softly again, the familiarity of the sound not lessened by their years apart. “There are so many different facets to the lifestyle that I don’t think one person can really understand it all.     “So what works for you?” The question was out of her mouth before she truly gave a lot of thought to what the answer might be, but in a way she was glad to have it out there.     “Huh?”
