Deadly Gorgeous Beauty
Chapter
1

    "How did
my life end up here?" I just sighed, sitting in my office and
oblivious to the stare being given to me by my best friend
Stacy.
She first looked at me like I was crazy and I
just rolled my eyes thinking, "Here we go again with the
lectures..."
"I heard that!" She snapped at me in my mind
then started lecturing me.
"Sonia Clemton how can you even say
that!"
"First you have your dream job being a
medical surgeon, you own a nice apartment and you’re an attractive
21 year old with whom men are always swooning at."
She paused for a minute then said
"Can't you see, you have the perfect life."
After saying those words, she left the room leaving those words
hanging in my mind.
"Perfect life my butt as unluckily for me
there was nothing called a perfect life." I thought to myself.
Every person in this world just had to have something wrong,
missing or even weird happening in their lives.
Unluckily for me, I had all those three
things happening in my life.
Let me demonstrate that theory for you.
Firstly what’s wrong was that I could not find love. I don't even
know how many men I had dated and I still could not find, you know
"the one".
I was that kind of woman whose was always
reading cheesy romance stories and still believed in fairy tales.
Worst of all, romantic charming fairytale princes did not
exist!
A girl could dream right because in the real
world not many would die for someone or love another person more
than themselves. That's because everybody was just selfish and put
themselves first including me.
Secondly the weird part in my life was that I
was born a super naturally powered being. If you don't believe me
ask my great great....... Grandma Sally. I remembered the day I
first discovered my powers while living with her as an 8 year
old.
    Flashback.....
    Sniff...sniff...sniff, "Sonia, where are you
my dear and are you crying?"
"I'm here grandma, under the table" replies
the 8 year old me.
"What's with all the tears my dear?" she
says while using her hand to wipe away my tears and puts me on her
lap.
"Grandma I can't tell you." the 8 year old
me answers.
"Why not, but you promised to tell me
anything remember." she responds.
"Promise you won't make fun of me." I ask
her and she nods her head while doing the pinky swear.
"Today in the morning while watching TV I
turned into...." I look at her as she gives me a nod to continue.
"A...cat."
After saying that I close my eyes while
waiting for her to laugh at me like the other kids did but I hear
nothing of that sort. No laughter or her making fun of me.
"I believe you." she says, causing me to
open my eyes and look at her.
"Why?" I ask her surprised she believed
me.
"Sonia for you to understand, let me tell
you a story."
"A long time ago your ancestors did an
honorable and heroic thing by saving a special tribe. The tribe
members rewarded them with a special gift for that."
"What was the special gift grandma?" I
interrupt her while she is still talking.
"The special gift was that in their
bloodline after every 1000 years that passed, if the first born
child was a girl she would inherit supernatural powers."
"So what am I supposed to understand
grandma?" I ask her confused.
"Silly girl, what I'm trying to say is that
you and me we are one of the girls who inherited the supernatural
powers of the gift."
"So you mean to say that I have powers."
Before she can respond I start blubbering.
"Can I fly like superman or make hot dogs
with heat vision like that guy from-"
Before I can finish she interrupts me.
"I don't really know because you have to
discover the powers yourself my dear.’’
"Grandma are you 1000 years old?" I then
blurt out before she finishes what she is saying.
"Aha finally I was still wondering when you
would catch up to that question. To answer your question, yes I'm
1008 years older than you."
    End of flashback
That memory always put a smile on my face.
Sometimes I really thought of being supernaturally
