missed being kissed and held in his strong arms.
“Ms. Ruiz, what are you doing here?”
The darkened intensity of Drake’s eyes, the flare of his nostrils caused me to shake myself awake. Naked desire warmed the dazed expression in my eyes.
“Sir, I must have fallen asleep.”
I fumbled, knocked his chair to the floor, and stood quickly. After setting the chair back in place, I walked around his desk. But Drake blocked my escape.
“Why are you here, in my office?” His voice was unbearably sexy.
“I-I completed the spreadsheet, so I thought I’d leave it on your desk.”
“And?” His 100-watt smile made me tingle all over.
“I-I sat down.” I laughed when I was nervous. “Your chair is comfortable, sir. I apologize for invading your office.”
He continued to smile down at me.
“About earlier…I owe you an apology. I had other things on my mind. Needless to say, I took my anger out on you. Will you accept my apology?”
    “Excuse me.”
“Will you accept my apology?” he repeated.
“ Ahh , certainly, sir,” I said, and stared into his eyes.
“You’re a stunning-looking woman, Bella. I heard Elaina call you that. It is a beautiful name.”
    “Thank you, sir.”
“You’re a distraction I don’t need in my life, right now.”
    “I don’t understand .”
Drake was confusing me. One minute, he was a bear; the next he’s sweet and apologetic. Now, he was coming on to me? He can’t be flirting with me.
“Have a good weekend, Mr. Hart. It’s getting late, and I need to get home.”
I attempted to walk around him, but Drake once again blocked my exit. He pulled me into his arms. His fingers cupped my ass, bringing me into his body. His manly scent consumed me, and I found myself trembling—tingling all over, and he’d just held me. How will it feel to be kiss by Drake—to make love with him?
“You have the most striking amber-green eyes, Bella. Your dark curls cascading down your shoulders beckoned my hands, and I can’t resist touching them,” he whispered in my ear.
He slid his hand through my hair, and the balls of his fingers began to massage my scalp. I closed my eyes and relished the feel of his fingers working their magic on my head. In seconds, I was caught between a sigh and a moan when he tugged me closer.
“Your honey-colored legs enticed me when you crossed and uncrossed them in the budget meetings—teasing me to no end. I found myself thickening and hardening. You’re a serious distraction , lady. I imagined my lips touching yours, my fingers dipping inside of your honey, Bella, and our sex joined together making sweet love. Have you ever fantasized about being with me—a white man?”
“No, that thought has never crossed my mind,” I lied through my teeth.
“Liar!” His voice became even sexier if that were possible. “I’m drawn to the chocolate-vanilla scent of your skin.”
Tugging me closer, our lips were nearly touching when I stared into his irresistible eyes. It was the blue-green color of the Caribbean Ocean, and his thick, long blond lashes stared back at me—hypnotized me. They didn’t waver as he met my gaze. His pale skin next to my golden skintone was a startling contrast—like a bowl of vanilla ice cream with honey topping oozing down the side.
“I’ve watched you watch me. The attraction is there, so let us be perfectly honest about that.”
    “You are my boss!”
“It is after five o’clock, and we’re not working now.”
    “I-I have to go.”
I closed my eyes on a moan when Drake’s teeth caught my right earlobe. He bit down on it, and lavished it with the sweep of his hot tongue.
“You won’t admit that I arouse you like no other man. Yet, you’re trembling in my arms. Why is that?” He stared at me again with those mesmerizing eyes.
    “I’m being practical.”
“Put practicality aside. I need to taste your lips, Bella,” Drake said moment before he clamped my face in his large hands. His tongue slowly rimmed
