yelled.
    “ No! You’re mine and you will
stop this nonsense.” I leaned down to kiss her, wanting her to
react as she’d done in the bathroom.
    She jerked her head to the side. “Get off
me!”
    I kissed her neck. “No,
you said you
loved me,” I pushed her legs apart, “and you can’t take that
back.”
    “ Just get off me, please, just
get off me .”
She tried to push me away, then her eyes shot past me, a look of
fear now on her face. She screamed, “No, Jagger!”
    I turned just as something hit
my head, Jagger’s fu rious face the last thing I saw.
