with an expression of intrigue. She was finally going to see a show on Broadway. She couldn’t believe it.
“Oh Andrew, this is marvelous. What a glorious way to celebrate our one month anniversary.”
         “Anything for you, my love.”
The rear door opened and John held out his hand to assist Beth out of the limo. Andrew followed placing his arm around Beth as if claiming her as being all his. Beth stood, dazed, taking in the scenery, imprinting the memory of this evening in her mind.
“Come along Beth. It would be rude for us to be late.”
The couple hurried to their seats where Beth was delighted to see her view was sensational. It was a front row view of the stage. Beth admired the scenery offered by the theatre; Italian Renaissance Ornaments, the multiple tiers, the balconies and the red seats.  Breath taking was all Beth could think of. Words could not describe what she felt at this moment. She was so grateful to Andrew for planning such a memorable date.
The show started and Beth lay her head on Andrew’s shoulder and entwined her arm in his, feeling as if she needed to be close to him.
“Beth,” Andrew whispered. “I love being close to you, but you have to sit back; otherwise the person behind you can’t see because of the way the seats are positioned.”
“Oh, sorry,” Beth said as she sat back in her seat and Andrew entwined his fingers with hers.
Beth watched the play with amazement as she savored each scene. At the announcement of a fifteen minute intermission, Beth was so excited to be able to talk and express her feelings of delight for Andrew bringing her to Broadway. He escorted her from the seating area to the bar where he ordered two Sangrias. Beth was surprised at how fast the endless line of people dwindled so quickly.
Sipping her drink, Beth talked rapidly about her fascination with the theatre and the play. She didn’t think she would have time to express all her emotions to Andrew during this short break.
After the play was over Andrew made no effort to vacate their seats. Instead he turned to Beth and said, “Our night is not over my love. I have planned an unforgettable dining experience for us.”
Beth’s eyes sparkled with admiration for Andrew as she gazed at him.
“This night is already one that I will never forget Andrew. In my wildest dream, I would never have imagined such a perfect night. Thank you,” she said kissing Andrew on the cheek.
After enjoying the meal at a wonderful French restaurant Andrew sitting across the table from Beth took her hand in his and kissed her fingertips and captured her luminous blue eyes with his and held her gaze.
“Beth, I know we have only known each other for a month but I feel my life would be empty without you.”
Andrew stood, reached into his pocket and produced a marquise diamond solitaire ring mounted on a platinum setting. He knelt in front of her on one knee, took her left hand in his. Beth felt her breath catch with shock. The restaurant became silent as all eyes watched the couple.
“Beth, I would be honored if you would agree to become my wife.”
Tears filled Beth’s eyes. This was already an unforgettable evening and now Andrew wanted her to marry him. She was stunned. No words would escape her lips no matter how hard she tried to force them.
“Beth are you okay? I love you. Please say yes.”
Beth leapt from her chair down to Andrew and embraced him and placed a kiss on his lips.
“Yes, yes, I will be your wife.”
There was applause throughout the restaurant as Andrew placed the beautiful ring on Beth’s finger denoting his claim on her.
Continuing his gentlemanly behavior, Andrew escorted Beth to the waiting limousine with the rear door already open for the couple to enter.
