he gives it a good squeeze. I finally get my hands in far enough and shove him as hard as I can off me.
       “Hands off the goodies, asshole!”
“Oh come on, doll, I was just getting to know you a little better,” he drawls, taking a step back towards me.
“I think you need to find someone else to get to know better. Don’t you?” I hear Lynkin say from behind me.
“Fuck it. She ain’t worth it anyways,” he grumbles as he walks off.
I turn to Lynkin and say, “The kidnapper becomes the rescuer? Never would have thought that!”
“Well, ya know, I see it as you’re mine, and no one else has the right to touch you.”
I laugh, but the longer I do it, it hits me that he called me his. My laughter fades out. “I need a shot,” I tell him as I walk by. He grabs my hand and spins me back to him and bends me down backwards into a dip. “What are you doing?”
“I’m dancing. What does it look like?” he jokes. He pulls me up and spins me again so that my back is to him.
“I didn’t say I would dance with you, either.”
“Then why are you?” he whispers into my ear. Who turned off the air in here? I feel his hands on my sides and realize he is right, I am moving with him. I’m not trying to pull away from him or tell him no either.
I find myself closing my eyes again. This time, there is no letting my mind go blank. It is impossible with him behind me and touching me the way he is. I lean against him, lay my head back on his chest, and just go with it. His head dips to my neck, and as we sway this way and that way his stubble rubs across my skin. The song comes to a stop and I breathe a sigh of relief.
I go to sit back down at the table, but he holds onto me so I can’t get away. “Come on, that was just one song. One more?” One more song? Is he kidding? My panties are dripping wet after the first one, I don’t think I can make it through another. He must feel my hesitance because he adds, “We can go back to the motel if you want.”
I look up at him to see if he is just being mean or kidding around and can’t tell. I don’t take the chance. I turn into him and hide my head in his chest. It’s pretty much a win/win situation for me. I may hate this man, but I can’t deny that I am one hundred percent attracted to him, and getting out of that room is the high point of my year.
I relax a bit more when the song starts and it’s slow. With the alcohol and Lynkin, I need something to cool me down. My head is still against his chest, his hand are on my hips, and mine are holding his biceps.
He nestles his chin on the top of my head, and his thumb starts making small circles on my stomach next to my hip. My grip on his arms tightens and I hear his heartbeat pickup.
       Wrong, this is all wrong!
It doesn’t feel wrong, it feels so right.
He is holding you ransom, you complete moron!
Way to spoil the only fun I have had in a month.
I pull back and shake my head. But before I can say anything, someone shoves me back into Lynkin.
“Sage! Hey, where have you been?” Jen comes over and asks.
       “Same place you left me.”
“I didn’t leave-” Jen starts to say before she gets interrupted.
“I knew I had seen you somewhere! You’re Sage Donovan! Holy Shit!” the same guy that had been trying to dance with me exclaims.

    Lynkin

Damn it! What the hell am I supposed to do now? He has seen us with her and knows exactly who she is. What am I going to do? Lie. I am going to lie through my teeth and hope his drunk ass believes me. “Naw, man I think you have had too much to drink. This isn’t Sage Donovan.”
“Really? Hell, she could be her damn twin,” he slurs.
“Yea, that’s why we call her Sage. She absolutely hates it though,” I tell him.
Jennifer speaks up to help out. “We like to give her a hard time.”
