almost there.” I knew what he was doing by trying to pull me up but I keep my
mouth firmly in place until I felt warm liquid gushing into my mouth and he
yelled out ‘Amy.’

Chapter 9
    Paige
    I was really hoping my ears had
heard wrong when Ben had called out the name of his ex- girlfriend, but I think
I was just fooling myself. I saw the way he looked when he talked about her,
like he was still in love and I was just some kind of a cheap substitute. Was
he imagining that it was her between his legs the whole time?
    Luckily, I didn’t have to deal with
the awkwardness of confronting him. As soon as I walked out of his bathroom, I
could hear his loud snores coming from the bed where he hadn’t moved from,
apparently exhausted from what I had just done.
    I pulled on my discarded dress and
tiptoed out of the room, leaving him a quick note that I headed home. Yeah, the
guy seriously had my head spinning, but I didn’t want him to think that I had
just taken off on him. I knew I wasn’t really in love with Ben, but I had some feelings.
    I hurried through the darkness
across campus back to the dorms, no sock was in sight so I slid in my key and
found Kitty and Kylie sprawled out on the floor giving each other manicures. I
had to do a double take at that, those two rarely spent alone time together.
    Kitty looked up, taking in my
disheveled appearance with a big grin on her face. “Oh who’s doing the walk of
shame now?” Kylie let out a giggle and started singing, “Bow chicka-wow-wow,”
and they both burst out in laughter.
    I let out a deep sigh and flopped
back onto my bed. Great, just what I needed the Barbie twins working together.
“I guess I’ll take that as my cue to leave.” I heard Kylie get to her feet and
pat me on the head. “Sounds like you two need a nice private chat; see you
later, Kitts.”
    I heard the bathroom door shut
behind her and slowly sat up, instantly ramming my forehead into Kitty who was perched
on the end of my bed. “Kitts, what are you two like bff’s or something now?”
    “Well, actually she did me a huge
favor tonight. You know how I planned on Brad coming over and having the whole
place to ourselves?” I nodded my head, rubbing it at the same time. I felt a
major headache coming on and I’m sure Kitty wasn’t going to help it any.
    “Kylie caught him downstairs in the
lobby with his lips locked on some skank before he came up here to meet me. Can
you believe that? What a freakin’ asshole! So then, he comes up here after he’s
done with Miss Skank and thinks he’s going to get some side action from me.
Kylie luckily interrupted us and explained what she had just seen and the
douche didn’t even deny it. I threw his ass out and we had ourselves a nice
bonding experience. She’s actually a lot of fun to be around.”
    “Great, I’m glad you two worked
things out. As for Brad, I’m actually sort of surprised, but I’m glad you found
out before you two got really serious.”
    “I know,” she stated, bobbing her
head in agreement while blowing on her neon pink nails. “So anywho, you and Ben
finally hooked up? Was it everything you expected? Did it hurt? Was he good?
How do you feel?” She bombarded me with questions and I really wasn’t sure how
to answer them. How did I really feel? I guess I should feel hurt, but I don’t
think I really was.
    “Let’s just say we didn’t make it to
home, but we at least rounded third.”
    “Uh, really Paige? Baseball
analogies for sex, I think you and Dylan are actually made for each other. So from
what I can decipher, you at least got a little action. And apparently, Ben
wasn’t any good because you look like your puppy just got ran over by a car,
not like you just had an amazing orgasm, so spill.”
    I bit down on my nail and Kitty
swatted me on the head. She hated when I did that and was trying to make me
break the nervous habit that I had picked up.
