Eluded
Sophie's
face and forced his lips on her mouth. She didn't kiss him back or
close her eyes as he poured himself into her. "I'll win you over
eventually, Sophie. I'll be back this afternoon for you," he said
to her.
She didn't respond. She looked at
him with so much hate in her eyes that I thought he would become
immersed in flames.
When Derrick left, I pulled up my
pajama pants and slid down the wall, crying into my hands. I didn't
want to talk to Sophie. I didn't want to look at her, but she sat
down beside me on the floor.
"You did the right thing," she
said and placed her hand on my leg. "If you would have fought him,
he would have killed you because you meant nothing to him. Now,
you're another trinket."
I continued to sob quietly as she
stroked my hair. "I'm so embarrassed," I said.
"Why do you think I hate him so
much? This isn't the end of this. I'm apologizing now for whatever
he makes me do. He's a good-looking, crazy bastard who gets off on
things like this. What makes it even worse is he is skilled with
his hands, dick, and stupid fucking words. Humiliation is what he
loves, and I'm going to kill him when I get the chance. My only
goal in life is to watch him bleed out." Her voice was soft, but I
could hear the venom in her words.
When I looked over at her, she was
staring into the hallway. Then turned and looked at me. I wiped
away my tears and sucked in a deep breath before I spoke. "I'll
help you."
    All she could do was
smile.

ABBOT
    Twelve
    I needed to clear my
head.
I dressed and drove to the busiest
tourist area, which was full of bars and women who wanted to
fuck.
Before I got out of the Range
Rover, I looked at myself in the mirror. Fuckable, at
least.
Vanity wasn't a cheap bar for
college students but rather an upscale club with crystal glasses
and expensive champagne. Women wore diamonds and men wore Rolexes.
It was one of those places the older crowd went to show off their
goods, to show that they were actually a part of the upper class. I
didn't go there to find a cheap whore. There were already too many
of those willing to suck my dick for a bump of cocaine, and I
refused to be anyone's stepping-stone to addiction. Those bitches
were unstable, and I’d had enough of that in my life.
When I entered, I ran my fingers
through my hair then made my way to the bar. If I didn't know
better, I would have thought it was ladies’ night, because the
stools were full of women with nice asses and a respectable amount
of cleavage. Not too whorey, but not all prim and proper either. I
searched around for a place to sit. A dark-haired woman smiled at
me as I passed, almost tempting me to sit next to her, but I
continued forward. At the end of the bar, a blond woman sat
twirling the ice in her glass with straws. The stool next to her
was empty, so I took the opportunity to sit. She didn't turn her
head to look at me, and I smiled.
The bartender walked by, and I
stopped him. "Excuse me. I'll have what she's having."
She turned and looked at me, and a
smile slowly spread across her face.
"Will you have another?" I asked
her.
    "Sure," she said.
"Make that two, then," I said back
to the bartender. He picked up a bottle of scotch and poured it
over rocks. No mixer, nothing, just pure scotch. This woman already
had my attention. She pulled the straws from her empty glass and
slowly sipped the new one.
    "Thanks," she said.
"No problem. Do you always drink
scotch on the rocks?"
    "Sometimes I just drink it
straight," she said, and I watched her lick her red lips. Then she
picked up a piece of ice and began to suck. I turned my head as I
felt my dick pulse with want. I looked at her left hand and noticed
she wasn't wearing a ring. Either she was single or in a
relationship that didn't mean shit to her. As time passed, we
continued to make small talk, and the edge she had when I sat down
slowly vanished.
    "I'm from California. Visiting for
business."
    "Are you married?"
"Do you see a ring on this
finger?" she
