cheeks and squeezing them affectionately. “Hi, Daddy. Riccardo said you wanted me to meet a friend of yours and she’s in desperate need of a makeover.”
You’ve got to be kidding me - a makeover? A fucking makeover? What exactly did Riccardo and Sebastiano tell her, that I was some sort of a frump and was in desperate need of a fashion fix?
“What the hell, Sebastiano? Do I look like I need a fucking makeover?” I was so angry. All that talk before about how beautiful I am and how he wanted to fuck me! And now he tells his daughter I need a makeover. Is this a goddamn joke? What an arsehole!
“Relax, sweetness. I never said you needed a makeover. That’s just Lorena jumping to conclusions. Isn’t that right, bella mia ?” he reprimanded his daughter. “You must have misunderstood what Riccardo said. I told him Sierra needed to go on a shopping spree.”
His daughter gave me an icy stare, giving me the once over and all but rolled her eyes at me. Stupid bitch. Great and I’ve got to go shopping with her. Now, won’t that be fun.
My outburst changed the entire atmosphere in the room. Maybe I should have kept my mouth shut. I’d gone and put his daughter’s nose out of joint. She was a stunner, with her long blonde locks perfectly styled and her figure, unlike mine, which epitomised the perfect hourglass. Lorena was also very well endowed in all the right places. Her hazel brown eyes were leering at me.
“So, your name is Sierra, is it?” Lorena turned to her father and asked, “Is she your latest squeeze? You never bring them into the mansion, and now you want me to take her shopping?”
“That’s enough, Lorena,” Sebastiano reprimanded her. “You will respect Sierra. She will be living here in the mansion, and I expect you to be nothing but civil and courteous to her, mi capice ?”
“Yes, I understand,” she agreed with a patronising tone. Her arms folded and her foot tapping were all the body language I needed to see her blatant disapproval of me and that I’d be living under the same roof as her.
What a little snob she was. She obviously thought I was here voluntarily. Well, if she only knew. Looking back on the day’s events, I couldn’t believe how my life had changed in the matter of a few short hours. To say my life was all rosy beforehand would be a blatant lie, but I’d signed a deal with the devil. I was about to enter a life which was completely different to the one I had lived. A life so chilling it would be hard for me to ever escape it, even if I wanted to.
“Good, now we’ve settled that little disagreement, I’ll get one of the bodyguards to take you shopping. I need Riccardo here for a meeting.”
“Oh, but Daddy, I need Riccardo to come…” Lorena whined in her please, Daddy voice.
“ Silenzio, Lorena. I said no and that is final.” Sebastiano pulled out his wallet and thrust a wad of money into Lorena’s hands and her face instantly changed. Gone was her childish pouting and it was replaced with an award-winning look of pure contentment. Her eyes sought mine and instead of turning her nose up at me like I expected her to, she smiled. Lorena Morassi genuinely smiled at me.
Well, what do you know? You show the Mafia Princess some cash and voila, she’s a reformed woman. I wonder how long this will last.
“Sweetness,” Sebastiano said as he walked over to me, stroking his finger down my cheek. My heart quickened at his touch and every time he called me that, I felt a quiver in my belly. He sounds so sweet, but I know behind that sweetness there is someone who can be dark and sinister. “I want you to buy anything you want - anything. Money is no object.” He turned to Lorena. “Make sure you stick with the bodyguard, Lorena. I don’t want anything to happen to either of you.”
“Oh, Daddy, don’t be ridiculous. I know the rules and I promise I’ll take good care of Sierra.” Yeah, my arse she’d take good care of me.
    Sebastiano wrapped his arms
